Some of the posters in the Flames area are interested that is McKenna just on the wing because of depth and will switch to C next season or is that his natural position and what he will be in the NHL.

Canes have been swept out of the 1st round in three straight years and haven't won a round since 2017/18. If they can get healthy they should fare better in these playoffs.

McKenna has always been a winger, even when he was dominating the CSSHL.
The center he usually plays with was suspended for 1 game recently and McKenna did play C in that game in his place though, so while I wouldn't bet on him making a move to C full time, never say never.

When the Tigers were finally 95% healthy for more than a couple games, they went on a 12 game win streak and nearly swept the US trip. And even then the team was missing two first line NHL drafted players in Basha and Lindstrom.

I'm hearing Gavin McKenna has been suspended for 3 games for slashing OKs Mori on the shin pads.
Funny since OKs Woodward never recieved any supplementary discipline (or even a ####ing penalty) for slashing McKenna a couple months ago on the back of the leg where there was no protection.

17000 kids at the Hitmen's anti-bullying game today. 11:00 AM start time and a full house of screaming kids must've been unique energy for the players.

I would love for us to win the lottery in his draft year and draft him. Just so Monahammer can complain about what a waste of a draft pick it was because he isn't a bonafide center.

It was such a bad slash that Mori played last night against the Warriors in Moose Jaw. Before anybody gets all up in arms and comes after me, I do believe you need to punish guys for their actions and if an injury also happens, you should add more games to the supplementary discipline.
That said, maybe if the refs did a better job protecting players, guys wouldn't feel the need to take matters into their own hands.

Exactly.
The last time McKenna played in Edmonton he got two handed slashed on the back of the leg, plus their goalie got ran over multiple times without even a single penalty called for any of it. Then in this game he takes a late, high hit and again no call so he gets frustrated and breaks his stick over the guys shin pads. Of course the refs are all over that.

I was reading that Willie D did call the league to appeal the three game suspension handed down to McKenna, but the league held firm with their original decision.

Tigers back up Switzer has posted 3 straight shut outs now. Combined with the previous game he has now played 209 minutes and 43 seconds without giving up a goal. Currently 1st place in the WHL in GAA.

Canes had Braillard and Wormald back in the line up in Brandon last night. Out played the Wheaties but lost in extra time.
Hitmen with a rare miss step only secured a single point in a shoot out loss to the rebels.
Tigers won in Regina running short handed with 11 F and 6 D, one of the D is actually forward Marcus Pacheco though. Been quite a lot of this crap this season for the Tigers. Hard to believe they've had the success they've had.

Yeah, they should be able to move on seamlessly from Meneghin next season. Plus, all the D except Molendyk should return as well. As long as McKenna comes back for his draft year (I'm 99% sure he will) the Tigers will be in a good position to go for it for another year. Probably going to be Willy's last year coaching too, from what I've heard.

Just one more reason Medicine Hat should have been awarded the Memorial Cup. Tough to understate how badly the WHL botched this decision.

Gustafson was game time decision too so he's close to returning.

Another shut out for the Tigers tonight, 5-0 in Brandon. Not Switzer though, this time Meneghin

The Hitmen rebound nicely with a 7-0 win over Kelowna. Daniel Hauser has 4 straight shutouts.
