Complete scrubs.
Never put up numbers at ANY level they've ever played. Obviously getting pushed along by their goon father who managed to scrape a 600+ game NHL career together somehow.

Nov. 29th:
Battman is held pointless (-1) in a 5-4 SO loss to London, but was the only Kingston player to score in the shootout. The only player to top Battaglia's 7 shots in the game was Knights' D Sam Dickinson, with 8. Battaglia slips into a tie for 9th in scoring with 26gp/16g/19a/35pts,even, 18 PIM.
Mews picks up 1a, but was -1 with a game-high 10 shots (!) in a 4-2 victory over the Petes. He is 4th in scoring by D in the OHL, with 23gp/7g/21a/28pts,-1, 18 PIM.
Misa gets 1g, 1a, and +2 in a 3-2 win over Sarnia. 23gp/13g/16a/29pts,+10, 2 PIM, tied for 25th in OHL scoring.
Charlottetown beats Shawinigan 5-2, but Gridin must have had a great game, as he was named 1st star with 1g and a +1. 23gp/12g/16a/28pts,+7, 11 PIM, now tied for 19th in Q scoring. Sounds like he's finding his stride.
Still no Basha for Medicine Hat.
Hurtig gets no points, but was +1 in a 4-2 victory over the Oil Kings. 22gp/0g/4a/4pts,+14, 9 PIM, tied for 18th in plus/minus.
Laing gets no points and was -1 in a 3-2 loss to Red Deer. 23gp/7g/8a/15pts,+4, 16 PIM.
Everett whoops Vancouver 7-1. Jamieson gets 1a and was even. 25gp/6g/5a/11pts,+23, 21 PIM, in third for plus/minus in the WHL.
Lipinski had no points, was -3, and went 13/19 in faceoffs. 14gp/1g/10a/11pts,-3, 10 PIM.

I can't remember the last time a saw so many Flames prospects at or over a point per game in their D+1 seasons.
Am I allowed to be excited about that?

Nov. 30th:
It was the battle of the Misa brothers tonight, with Luke's Brampton Steelheads defeating Mike's Saginaw Spirit, 5-3. Mike was third star with 1g, 1a, and -1, but big brother Luke was second star with 3a, and a +4. Luke is now tied for 17th in OHL scoring with 24gp/13g/19a/32pts,+14, 2 PIM, after piling up 29 points in his last 15 games. Parekh was absent, as he was serving his suspension.
Shawinigan loses a snorefest, 1-0 in a shootout to Baie-Comeau. Despite having no points, and failing to score in the shootout, Gridin is named third star. He is tied for 20th in Q scoring with 24gp/12g/16a/28pts,+7, 11 PIM.
Morin picks up 2a, and was +2 as the Wildcats defeat the Olympiques 4-3 in OT. He is tied for 3rd in scoring by D (13th in plus/minus) with 23gp/6g/20a/26pts,+11, 12 PIM.
No points for Laing, as the Cougars are shutout 5-0 by the Oil Kings. 23gp/7g/8a/15pts,+4, 16 PIM.
No points, and a -2 for Hurtig in a 7-3 loss to Medicine Hat. 24gp/0g/4a/4pts,+13, 9 PIM, tied for 8th in plus/minus for defensemen in the WHL.
No Basha for the Tigers.
Jamieson was third star in a 7-1 beatdown of Kamloops with 2a, and +2. 26gp/6g/7a/13pts,+25, 23 PIM, tied for 4th in the league for plus/minus.

Don't worry, I'm sure the scorekeepers will retroactively award that Hurtig goal to someone else within a day or two.

Looks like Lipinski isnt helping himself and is having a real hard time after being sent down to the WHL again from the Wranglers. He is playing himself out of any contention he was in to move forward and up.

IMO, there are MANY teams that will regret passing on Dickinson. I was shocked by where he was picked.

He just wasn't as flashy as Parekh during his draft year.

All I can get

Just sort of an odd turn of events regarding Lipinski. He had a good camp and they even put him into a few Wrangler games on a PTO until he was finally sent down. The Giants then moved out a player to bring him back into their lineup.
Has he been bothered by injuries?

I haven't heard anything about injuries, I just think his lack of production might be due to the fact that the Giants just aren't very good (15th out of 22 teams), and he doesn't seem to be playing with their top offensive players. Lip was at a ppg, or slightly above for a while, but they have been not-so-good in the last 10 games- going 3-5-2-0 in that span.

Neither was Beckett Sennecke, Carter Yakemchuk, Mike Misa, or our own Etienne Morin.

Rookie of the Month
Matvei Gridin – Shawinigan Cataractes – 13GP, 9G, 9A, 18Pts, +6
The first overall pick of the 2024 CHL Import Draft, Matvei Gridin had himself quite a month in November, with nine goals and as many assists in 13 games played.
The Russian winger was particularly dominant on November 3, in Rimouski, when he scored a hat trick against the Océanic. Then, on the 17th, he racked up two goals and an assist against the Cape Breton Eagles. Gridin picked up two points in three other games last month, being blanked from the scoresheet just twice in 13 outings.
The Calgary Flames prospect currently sits second among QMJHL rookies with 28 points (12G-16A) in 24 games. Only Lars Steiner of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies is ahead of him with 34 points (12G-22A).
