That injury shortened season last year really slowed his development. I have high hopes for him still. As I've always said, he reminds me a lot of Jake Guentzel.

Originally I saw who posted this and my mind saw the word longer in front of cook, and the second o as being a c in the word cook plus the word to as simple being a. That too could be true...just not sure how going to Medicine Hat addresses that.

That's disappointing. I thought that Basha would have an easier time adjusting to the AHL than Gridin. Hopefully this helps his development, and he becomes a much better player for the Wranglers next year.
At least Morin found himself a home on a pairing with Cicek. Hopefully he's there to stay.

Don't be so dramatic. He was 19 to start the season, he's not ready for the AHL. Finish the year strong in junior and come back. It's not a big deal.

Lol he jumped up a massive level at 19 after missing most of the previous season. That's not a massive disappointment.
Battaglia staying at the same level and having his production crater is a massive disappointment however.

Yeah we are still in very early days for Basha. What is up with Battaglia though? The numbers look awful.

Basha should have been sent back at training camp. But just gotta look forward now. This is best for his development.

They gotta be careful with this kid, he's an extremely underrated prospect. Before his injury, I thought he was one of our best prospects- and he killed it in his first training camp with the Flames.
Good move to send him to the 'Hat.

There's only so much ice time to go around on the Wranglers. That's why it's so crucial the Flames trade a guy like Coleman this year.
You have three players in the system that can push for that spot (Gridin, Stromgren, Honzek) and create a top-6 opportunity for a players on the Wranglers coming up behind them.
