I would like to see Derek Wills go to the TV gig and Brad Curle promoted Flames Radio play x play. Curle deserves a NHL shot and is better then both Singh and Pursina (who I cannot stand).

Singh one hundred percent pronounces it wrong. Not only does he pronounce it wrong he actually adds a accent to it which he doesn't have otherwise. It's weird as hell.

Mark Lee was rumored to replace Kerr but we got even better with Ball. Not sure he's done any work besides Olympics since.

Why can't we poach someone from the US? Randorf left to do TB games but would be come back to Canada, maybe if SNet gave him the odd late Saturday game?

John Bartlett came up the ranks with Habs and Leafs radio the last 6 or 7 years, there has to be someone like that high up out east in the radio ranks ready to make the move to TV.

Singh is definitely still an amateur. I was out eating and watching the game last night, and I did a quick survey around the bar and urinals. 95% of the people were groaning at the thought of Singh getting the gig.

Yeah, I'd really like to see either a Flames fan or a true professional like Ball was well before an Oilers fan in a suit getting tossed at us 82 times a season. I wouldn't be the biggest fan of Singh getting this gig.

I don't mind Singh. He's paid his dues and has a great story of how he became a broadcaster. Unfortunately the bar is going to be so high with Ball leaving that it really doesn't matter who gets the job next. They are going to get raked over the coals the moment they step in.

Yeah, Ball set the bar pretty high, so whoever steps in next is going to have a tough time. They're going to get criticized right out of the gate, no doubt about it. At the very least, they should bring in someone who's not an Oiler fanboy with absolutely cringe-worthy play calling.
