Wolf will be fine. As evidenced by the vast majority of his body of work.
Vladar's body of work is suspect at best.
Not to say you're wrong. But I only see one guy here here with immense upside still.

.....so, um....do those fancy stat metric numbers say our boy Huberdeau played well in yesterday game?
Ok so it wasn't so much Warrener but both Pinder & Boom agreed with me that Huberdeau had been a complete giveaway machine these last two games.......just saying, lol

I just really hate that I'm already starting to lose hope this early intro the season. I believed in them all the way up to the Chicago game last year but I'm not putting myself throw that, I can't keep watching such boring, lazy hockey when there's so much other stuff to do in life.
Huberdeau was -2 in the CBJ game and then was a -4 in yesterday's so what's his excuse now, you know what I'm saying?

Guy plays big minutes and the team got beat bad...the point is he was no worse than anyone else
could have used a save last night...one of the minuses Friday is an EN goal.
There was no excuse he is just not a "giveaway machine" the NHL keeps track of those stats...they are readily available. Again you might be surprised with the giveaway leaders in the NHL. Hint its guys who have the puck a lot.
I will push back on anything Rhett says after admitting he didn't watch the game though. We both watch more Flames games then him, he is there for comic relief and name recognition.

I would put Wolf in but he doesn't win us either game on the weekend...its just funny (well not really) that Wolf got lit up in the AHL on Saturday between these two Flames games.
Remember the team is home now too...getting Wolf in will be much easier

It at least has been mentioned that the Flames would like Wolf playing NHL games. In my opinion he is down strictly because of his contract status.
To reference the 6 goal outburst, which actually was a win in a back to back (wolf played both), every goalie has games in every league where they will let in 4,5,6 goals as I'm sure you know. Context and shot difficulty (most of which were direct one timers in the slot or slot chances) provides a lot of information to the quality of the 6 goals if you were to watch the game. His stats were .850 compared to 0.800 by Vladar in the last 6 goal game.
Anyway, I don't actually necessarily disagree with you with the point I THINK you are trying to make which I THINK is that you don't think Wolf will actually fix anything. He is unproven and unknown at the NHL level. I think people see his eventual potential and if he performs even close to his AHL caliber stats, the NHL team would be in a better spot then what Vladar has shown in the NHL recently.

I think Vladar and Markstrom need a little bit adjustment for the new D system for sure. Last year every player were chasing their 1 on 1 players all over D zone, and they allowed lots of odd man rushes.
This season there lots of players standing around and shots mostly coming in through traffic. And our players really late for covering opponent in his zone, especially if the other team is fast.
I think, when players adjust and learn their system our G will be better. No need bring up Wolf and kill his confidence for now.

I want Wolf to get some starts too I am just saying...they would have lost both games on the weekend with Wolf too
unless he held the other team to one or less, which is a hard sell as he is letting in 6 in an AHL game

Vladars AHL body of work was pretty solid actually… if we’re comparing.

It's true. They cycle the puck along the boards, toss it back to the point and generate nothing of significance.
It's endlessly futile.

The thing with Darryl was he was actually honest about it. After he had won it all the first time with the Kings, a reporter asked what's the difference between the Flames and the Kings. Simply put, the Kings had way more talent than a Flames team with Iggy, Regehr, and Kipper. If the Flames were that bad then, you can't think that after the last rebuild that they're all that much better, especially after losing 2 of their best forwards last summer! I think the Flames are where they're supposed to be right now. Not a huge surprise and no major disappointment thus far.

It’s because they are lazy, and it’s hard work to go to the net.
It really is that simple. I haven’t been able to watch much this year and don’t really want to anyway, but from what I’m reading here it seems like this team is just like last years team and that’s what it was. Pretty simple. It’s what you get with career ending guaranteed contracts and we will be stuck with this level of effort for 7 years.
