TBF, it’s not just this game with Kadri. He’s been sliding for a while, and you kind of wonder how Huberdeau would have looked if he’s been moved away from him a lot earlier.

If those big contracts decide to be adults instead of just floating because they don't like their boss then it wouldn't be so bad

Quoted for truth.
The only thing I'll say is that there were teams this summer that would have given Kadri a similar deal. He isn't going to fetch any value, back, but if the Flames want to move him, I'm sure they will be able to. He is capable if he is in the right situation.

I kind of want to keep Sutter just to show Kadri that we're not catering to his pouty behaviour. When the team sucked it up and committed things went well.

The deserters are the ones who have sunk us.

Huberdeau’s play has given me more reason for hope as the season has gone along. I also think that even if he is not the happiest guy, he’s still trying.

I’m optimistic when it comes to Huberdeau.

Kadri to me looks like one of the clearest “I’m quitting on this coach” examples I’ve ever seen. Maybe he’s just exhausted from the Cup run…but my goodness, he has been bad for sometime.

Even though Marky has been better of late…I still just can’t feel confident with him as our goalie anymore…which is fine. $6M sunk into an at-best average goalie isn’t the worst thing to have while you rebuild

Honestly, it’s just the one right now. I’m pretty Ok with the level of play from Weegar and Huberdeau. And Markstrom isn’t floating, he’s just not been clutch. After those guys the next biggest is Mangiapane and I don’t think he floats - he is just playing dumb hockey right now.

I think it's interesting how everyone thinks Sutter is a gonner. I think he is likely to stay and BT walks on his own accord.

Sutter and Kadri will be together again next year, won't that be Grand!

That's true but if they end up missing by a point this was the game they had a chance to make up for all of those blown games and they blew it.

I suppose, YOU are suggesting that we should applaud the team for tonight’s AMAZING effort (again, maybe you don’t know what good teams look like).

what will your reaction be if they lose tomorrow?

Ducks are the WORST team in the league. Excusing tonight show just how apologizing this fan base truly is,

Ducks are an “all time “ worst team.. but get mad at me guys

Didn't someone claim they wouldn't be back if Sutter was?

Kind of hope it was Kadri. I wouldn't be sad if he violated his contract (for subsequent termination).

He's been a shadow of what he's been his entire career. Literally an entirely different player, save for a handful of games early on.

You can see Huberdeau is special. He doesn’t control the game like a star but he gets the puck and find people better than most. He just needs some good line mates. Weegar is also capable.

I disagree with Markstrom. He is a choker. He is done. Not reliable anymore.

You should really stop posting for the evening. Many of your posts in this thread, are quite embarrassing. Sober up, show some humility, regret, and move on.

I suppose if it turns out to be the last game they lose and they still miss, then yes, I guess it would be the one.
Bummer.

Sutter trying to make a 4 line team that plays a way he thinks will be successful in the playoffs, I can understand
Markstrom having an off year, for perhaps many reasons. Happens to many goalies. I can understand.
Mangiapane having a bad year, the first year after signing that first big contract, happens quite often and I can understand that too.
Huberdeau taking some time to come around after such a big change in his career, I can understand.
I don’t have to agree with all these things but I can understand them happening.
But
Kadri? The effort, the accountability, the oblivion post game
I dunno
