The Catholic Church covered up more than 600 cases of abuse by more than 150 priests and clergy in Baltimore alone. What happened to anyone of them? Zilch. Cushy jobs elsewhere to continue abusing. So, for all the individual grievances against specific religious leaders, and for all the sexual misconduct covered up...to me, this is much, much worse. Claiming to be a charitable organization under the guise of religion, but not doing so, and escaping taxation.

The money scam of religious institutions will always cause more damage than any solitary indiscretion. Money has the ability to cause widespread benefit, but when not used well, can cause widespread harm.
