To be fair those issues for the most part went away when Boudreau came into the picture. It's possible that he was a short term boost and the players settled back into their bad habits and here we are. They could also go on a tear in the coming weeks and the slow start will be forgotten quickly. Time will tell.

It's true, they could.

I suspect that every time they have a good streak, the issues will be put aside, and every time they struggle again, they'll be brought back out. Until they are finally addressed.

But yeah, if they start winning and have a successful season and make the playoffs, then everything is fine. (until it isn't again)

Ya, I don’t think those 4 are creating drama. Media trying to create something.

There has been so much smoke around Miller as a producer of drama for a few years now that it is hard to maintain that it is all just "the media."

Kaprizov - the most dangerous guy in green - has the puck down low on the right side, and not one of the Nucks makes a single movement towards the right side to close his space. Not one inch from any of them, they just stand/sit there until he -casually - puts it top shelf.

I think the plan there is to have a new slogan for each week.

The expectation level rose in Vancouver because of that bubble series where they road goaltending through two rounds and announced to the world that the rebuild was over.

Then you make premature decisions.

Same thing with the Flames beating Vancouver in 2015.

The Boudreau bump was solid for points and wins, but once again it was riding a goaltender.

He had them 11th in points percentage the rest of the way, but 17th in expected goal splits (under water), 2nd in save percentage, and 6th in PDO.

If the franchise could go back, miss the bubble, and continue along with what is a strong young core they'd be in better shape now. Instead they had no 1st or 2nd in 2020, no 1st in 2021.
