Slobodan Milosevic did the same thing in 1990 to justify invading breakaway states. I am pretty sure this is just what they do to create a pretext for war.

OK it has been duly noted that ActiveStick dislikes US hypocrisy, even though its not unique to the US, and has nothing to do with current Russian aggression.

And, like, a nation everyone likes. Who doesn't love Ukraine and Ukrainians?
Perogies, babushkas, Cabbage rolls, the funny folk dancing, like come on. I bet 85% of the Canadian prairie was settled by those lovely people.

Our shared Croatian ancestors were in fact settlers from Ukraine. Ukrainians everywhere!

I thought initial Croatian tribes were of Illyrian and not Slavic descent?

I've been trying to make up my mind on this subject.
I was back and forth, Ukraine/Russia/Ukraine/Russia.
You just ended that.
Thank you

I was actually in Ukrainian dancing from the age of 5 to 16 and danced at many festivals. Had the poofy pants, embroidered blouse, and sash to go along with it. My grandmother actually hand made the outfit. She taught me to read Cyrillic and some of the language as well. Even went so far to get school books shipped to me.
I am only 1/4 Ukrainian, but she was determined to try and raise me as a proper Ukrainian, much to my father's annoyance lol.

I consider most things of my heritage to be funny, but then I'm Danish and we don't take ourselves too seriously.
