That was one of the worst calls I've seen in a while.
The crowd called the penalty, when it was Armia holding Andersson.

It would be cherrypicking if I was looking at one of the six individual components of GAR as a whole, like Zadorov's penalty differential.
Zadorov's horrendous offensive impacts vastly outweigh his average defensive impacts. He's been bad.

Love the Lucic 4th line. Just hitting everything that moves. Montreal's defense doesn't want the puck. I'm fine taking the odd penalty that shows not to mess with the goalie (Gudbranson). You can see it paying off when players don't take the extra tap at the pads.
Some better placed shots and this game is a laugher. Gotta bury those chances.
I didn't love Zadorov's gaff that lead to the penalty that lead to the goal, but I also find him calmly breaking up plays that other dmen don't. I can see why he sticks around.

This from Bingo is what I was referring to:
He's 2nd for defensemen in CF% and 2nd for xGF%. For a shut down guy that's just money.
He's first in xGA/60.
His last four games have featured xGF% of 79%/60%/73% and 68%

I never knew that GAR is the go to stat for everything hockey. I'm not saying that Zadorov has been good, but GAR just like most stats is a subjective look at what makes a player better than a replacement player.
