Holding penalties kill more drives than sacks.

Malik Henry with a very nice punt return - I'm so used to see orange nylon on the field when the Stamps have a big return.

With the latest throw, Maier has started the game 15-for-15
Edit: Carey punches it in for the TD.

Maier is reminding me a bit of a young Dickenson.

That was a painful play (in more ways than one).

I hope Amos is okay, he's a very important player in the Stamps secondary. I didn't see anybody touch Lawler, but holding the Bombers to 3 is certainly a break.
Edit: They just announced on the broadcast that Amos will not return tonight.

lol - If that's illegal contact or DPI, then illegal contact or DPI happens on every play.

My goodness, great throw by Maier to give the Stamps some breathing room.

I don't remember DD making a catch in the open field like that lol
/In all seriousness (and I realize it's only two games), but this Maier kid certainly has game.

Stupid rule - we should be able to decline time count violation.

I don't like that rule, the Stamps should have the option to decline that penalty and it should be a turnover on downs.

Damn, so close. That said, pretty good performance by the Stamps against the Bombers and a hostile crowd.

Can’t decline a penalty when no play was run. It would still be 3rd down.
Only way it’s a turnover on downs is if they changed the rule that a time count on 3rd down is a loss of down. Or within the last 3 minutes is a loss of down. But no teams would support such a rule change and the league has no reason to change it.
It also is only important because he missed. If he’d made it from closer and then missed from further, no one would care.

When you go 16-16 passing but only have 13 points to show for it, that’s a problem.
When you manage to score only 3 points in the second half, that’s a problem.
Oh well. Lots of positives to build from hopefully. Home and home against Edmonton will hopefully get them to .500 this year.
