I think (a) the goalie hit him first after he made one too many remarks and (b) this was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Yeah, the arguments "for" DeAngelo are stupid even if you don't care about his views. He has the type of production you do not give away for free and that is exactly what the Rangers tried to do.

If a team doesn't want a guy that plays like DeAngelo and are willing to part with him for nothing, take the hint.

Yea they really need to demote Ward down to Assistant and get a real Coach before they do anything drastic. They just dont play a style that works with the skill set the team has. They need a task master and they need to play off the rush like they used to.
