Really happy for Cam (and the Flames). Been a long time since I can recall a Flames goalie stealing a tough game like that.
Loved the hard-nosed Looch. Thought he had one of his best all-round games as a Flame. Really had a spark, and backchecked relentlessly. Great display of leadership.
Backs was excellent. Lots of chances, lots of good plays. And a sneaky lucky goal. Gotta love it!
Thought most of the rest of the team played decently, if a little scared or disorganized at times. The top line....well, ugh. However, if them being not so good also ties up the Dallas checkers, I'm OK with that as it frees up the other lines.
Now, they need to keep the workmanlike attitude. IF they can, they can not only win this series, but do some damage at the least, in the next. But. Two more wins first.

I think some of you guys are being too harsh on the team in front of Talbot. They were awful in the 2nd but in the first I thought they carried the play and in the third while they didn’t generate much offence they played a great shutdown game and kept Dallas to the outside. The Seguin chance in front was bad but Talbot bailed them out and other than that I never really felt like Dallas even came close. The Flames totally shut them down and did what they needed to do to get the win.
Maybe I’m out to lunch. It wasn’t their best effort but I certainly didn’t feel like they were that bad either.
A win is a win. Pretty or ugly. I like them all. Go Flames!

I always had a good feeling about the Talbot signing, Brad’s best bargain signing thus far.

Blake “takes a lap” Comeau should have been penalized for breaking the glass.

Talbot was very good
Talbot was quite lucky at times. Lots of iron for Seguin and wide open net misses plus poorly placed shots
The Flames especially in the third were playing D which makes life easier for goalies
Talbot didn’t score. Backlund and Brodie did. Tremendous effort by Backlund all game
|
35 shots.
Zero goals against.
You win every playoff game when that happens.
Poorly placed shots and goal posts don’t count.
Yes, others contributed.
The goalie Was primarily responsible for the win.

Nice to see the flames fight off the final push by Dallas. Earned some grit there.
That was some really bad goaltending for Dallas though.

Delay of game for sure. Worse than shooting it over the glass

That's the best question you could come up with, Eric Francis?
Let's be scared, because we took a 2-1 series lead with a 2-0 shutout win.
Eric Francis is such a waste of air time and such a moron

Bowness was probably thinking that the Stars had the momentum after the game 2 win, and wanted to give Bishop some rest off a back-to-back. Given how Dallas seemed to dominate the zone time he's wasn't totally wrong.
I bet we see Bishop in game 4 though.

He made a couple nice moves and suddenly had some confidence with the puck on his stick again.

You make fun of his zone orbits but he surely would've made us pay if he had a Dallas trailer when he sort of got a breakaway.
