Typically people will do single vision distance. But that can make reading difficult. Maui Jim has sunglasses with a hidden bifocal in it (for people with no real distance RX). You can also customize progressives to have a very low reading area in the lens.
Multifocal contacts can work too. They have astigmatism and multifocal correcting dailies and monthlies now.
Or keep the progressives and blame them for the drive you shank into the wrong fairway or the 3ft putt you miss.
