Nobody skating. Looks exactly like the Gulutzan team trying to gain the zone. What the hell?!

I was going to say Grubauer is Johnny’s head. Then I was like, no it’s actually Colorado that’s in his head. Then I was like nope, not even that. It’s literally playoff hockey that is in his head.

goalie really stretched out that leg looking at it from the overhead shot.
Shootout isn't Johnny's wheelhouse.

No speed on that penalty shot, playing scared. Flames should be embarrassed.

Really pleased they don't look discouraged yet. Still battling.
Wish that'd been 2 minutes instead of a penalty shot though. But I suppose I should be happy they finally called anything at all.

This is an embarrassing post. He just created a breakaway out of nothing with 3 Avs hooking him the entire way

That's what they need to do more of. Stand a guy infront of Grubauer and fire away.

Johnny needs to go in at full speed. He seems to make way faster and better decisions at full speed.

Johnny with zero confidence right now. Gripping his stick and making dumb plays left and right. I agree, he really seems to fold when the games get tougher. Not sure what the answer is, but someone needs to light a fire under his arse.

Just a player who completely folds under pressure.

I honestly don’t think it’s pressure. I think it’s that it is way harder for a smaller player to do as well when he can’t get a call for holding or hooking. He has to fight through bigger guys who know they are less likely to get obstruction penalties, and he just isn’t big or strong enough for his skill to shine through in that situation.
Plus his confidence is shot right now which really showed on that attempt.

These lines look better. I like the dynamic nature of Lindholm with Backlund and Tkachuk, and Bennett is bringing it to the first.
Just get a grip and get at it, Calgary. Play with a bit of swagger and confidence.

Huge difference in games between NCAA and the NHL. Speed. Size. Physicality. Skill.
