I had obstructed tickets once and we just ended up crusing around and watching from various vantage points on the different concourses. Was actually pretty fun

Just stand in the beer line all night. There is a good vantage point from there.

I sit in the bleeds a lot and the beer line / stair railing is pretty solid!

Beer line & washroom access make the PL my favourite spot to sit.

^ Agreed. I would go up the stairs from 222 rather than go to the main concourse

Would run in to Peter Maher, before or after hitting the restroom.

You can put it in the whiz column!

So, I'll be the hammered guy at the washroom access near PL 8 all night. Go Flames Go! Don't forget to wash.

I'll count Hrudey's visits too.

FYI good number of fresh tickets available to home game 1. Most pairs at in the Reds in the second bowl, but they're at least at "face" rather than the resale gouge.

Two pairs of greens (four in a row) available for Game 1 at face value; also several in press level 16 and 17 (unobstructed).

Lowest Stubhub Resale Price for First home game (Game 1 or 3).
Code:
City Price ($USD)
Toronto 302.5
Vegas 275.3
NY Islanders	163.79
Carolina	148.82
Boston 112.86
Columbus	107.7
Dallas 107.59
St. Louis	100.46
Winnipeg	99.45
Colorado	92.88
Washington	87.66
Pittsburgh	87
Calgary 83.25
Tampa Bay	65.74
San Jose	55.75
Nashville	45.77
I was curious so I did a quick search for the cheapest resale tickets for each teams first home playoff game. These prices are per ticket, for a set of 2 tickets, with fees included. I was bit surprised to see Calgary has the 4th cheapest resale tickets.

Really wish I had thought to check Stubhub before buying tickets through the official NHL resale Ticketmaster. Would have saved a good $50 per ticket for better seats

It's called the Press Level. This is a chart of lowest priced tickets per venue.
If you compare the cheapest tickets in the second bowl it works out to about $150-$160 per ticket after fees.

There are face value tickets at virtually every price point right now.

Nothing better than playoff hockey and I would love to go but prices are just too high.

Lower bowl blue color seats went down in price. I believe they were in the 4 hundred range yesterday, They're now at 356.00.

And lots of 300's seats have been dropped in price (as ticket exchange tickets). I assume ticketmaster is flipping them from regular tickets to ticket exchange now to dump them at lower prices.

Also several pairs in the second bowl in pretty much all price points. Couple groupings of 4+ seats too.

Lots of tickets to be had the last couple days.

Last time I rush for tickets in a pre-sale, with the price point now it seems like there's always going to be better deals if you wait until gameday to buy

That's exactly what they're doing.

Its definitely frustrating. They pulled the same #### for the Iggi game.

The demand for tickets doesn't seem as high as previous years playoffs. Probably a combination of the current economic conditions and the high face values.
