Agree.
Since February 1 the Flames are 11th in the league in even strength goals. 2.5 EVGPG (even strength goals per game)
EVGPG since Feb1:
Vegas: 2.6
SJS: 2.6
The Jets for example I think are 2.3 EVGPG but are 3rd in Powerplay goals.
Since February 1st, the best teams in the west are all basically within a goal or two of each other. Things have narrowed SIGNIFICANTLY for the Flames.
All the teams around the Flames got better at the deadline, while the Flames stayed the same. Instead of being the class of the west, the Flames are now 'in the mix'.

I'm all for criticism but calling our best player a little bitch is extreme. Somehow, he has to find a way to find open room now that it s a lot tighter and he has to cut way down on the giveaways but to expect a very small player like that to take constant hitting is unrealistic.

Guys I think we should trade Johnny and Mony. Package deal, what do you think we can get?
Or if not, would it just be better to fold and move the team to Houston?

Poor little guy must've been standing there for a minute before being ushered away. Empty handed.

I'm guessing something was done to make up for it

Johnny has 11 points in 15 playoff games...pretty solid for a player his age

You can leave all you want.
As for censorship, you actually think you get to write whatever you like on a privately owned site?

Flames lose another boring one. 2-1 Dallas
Backlund has also been missing loads of chances from the front of the net. Tkachuk has been playing well, our best forward right now but Backlund and Frolik are not capitalizing on his passes. Lots of pucks into pads and no elevation. Frankly our C’s have not been finishing, thus a lack of goals.
They need to put someone who can finish more consistently with tkachuk. I’m tired of seeing his amazing feeds getting wasted

For a while when they were rolling we were worried how they would fare in low scoring games as they were having issues keeping the puck out of the net due to poor defensive play and soft goaltending so the bright side here is that have played pretty well of late defensively and the goaltending has been better to the point it's at least average. I would argue that they could get by playing like this if the powerplay was functional as losing the special teams battles is ultimately costing them in these close games. This is one area where the coaching could also be better as they haven't changed their approach and teams are simply boxing them out knowing they like those cross ice passes from Gaudreau to Monahan and Lindholm.

All the replays and live feeds seems to show that the Flames players are unable to get to the front of the net or they being beat along the boards. Peters can shuffle the lineups all he wants but without having the heavy-weights sit in front of the opposition net means that they're constantly shooting from the perimeters and the goalies can see all shots.
It'll be interesting to see the next 4 games against the 3 California teams. I don't like the chances of them in the first round if they're not 1st in the
Western Conference.

Little bitch is uncalled for. Johnny is scared to go into the corners though. I would be too if I was 5'9 (generous) and 140lbs. An NHL d-man could dislocate his shoulder.

Yeah by two points...one more goal and they could be 2nd. Maybe that was the point?

yeah, the point is they went from the class of the league to middle of the pack.
The stats since the trade deadline are even worse.
Since Feb 25th Derek Ryan has 9 points which ties him with Backlund and Monahan and puts him one point up on Lindholm. Tkachuk leads the team with 17 points in 15 games, followed up by Gaudreau with 14.
Last Vegas by comparison has 4 players at or above a point per game.
The Jets have 2 players over a point per game with Scheifele hovering at 12 points in 14.
San Jose has been riddled with injuries.

I am not defending Gulutzan as a coach, but he didn't have this upgraded roster either.
