Sometimes Neal will just stand there and not move, waiting for the puck to.come to him rather than change position to cycle. No triangle movement at all.

I get that he is one that shoots from the slot but one of the strengths of Chucky being with backs is the cycle game.
Meh. Frolik made the turnover that led to the Canes goal. Piling on Neal gets old.

frolik seems to make notable turnovers more often than you'd like from a dependable defensive forward

Yep, Frolik looked awful. Made non-stop turnovers all over the ice.

The risk is some Flames players might mentally already be on the plane heading for the beach somewhere - have to resist that impulse.

Yeah at first I was wondering why Frolik was moved off the 2nd line, but if this is the effort he's given in practice lately then it makes sense

Well it goes both ways...the Canes players are playing against their old team/coach. Canes have likely heard about the Flames amazing play all season long.

Not a great period but I'm sitting next to the grumpiest old man. Trash talks every Flame for every decision.

Yelled at Johnny for not shooting on the 2 on 1, then yelled at him for passing to Gio backdoor for the almost goal. Cool.

The circumstance is they played three days ago and have nine days of rest and relaxation. Therefore they can leave it out there on the ice a bit. Recovery to the next game is not an issue.

- Hurricanes really love to shoot from anywhere. Meanwhile Flames keep trying to be the Sedins going for the perfect play.

- Kylington stylistically emulates someone like Bobby Orr or Kris Letang.

- Gosh I would love Ferland back

Neal had only one good play but it was one more than a whole bunch of Flames.
