Neal had a great game too I thought. I thought the intensity brought out the best of him tonight. A few more like this and I think he is going to find his rythm.
I agree. He didn’t hit the score sheet but he was really strong tonight. If he keeps playing like that (and I like the guy so I think he will) he’ll be okay.

Holy smokes what a comeback. This was a jekyl and hyde performance. Almost like 2 different teams out there. Guys couldn’t make a pass and were falling on their asses in the 2nd. Then in the 3rd, came out like gang busters. Team showed great resolve and the leaders of the team stepped up. What a win.
David Rittich is legit. Team clearly loves him, he makes it look easy out there. Very square to the shooters, no gaping holes, excellent reflexes, just the type of goaltender we’ve needed since Kipper. Honestly, I want a long term deal for him now just so we can have his presence in the locker room. If we can get a cheap #1A, that could go such a long way to being a long term contender. Love this guy.

The game plan should be to start a tussle with McSuperstar every game so they throw the boat anchor that is Milan Lucic on his line to mitigate him completely.
The Oilers media will eat it up and we'll keep winning games. The fools.

It seems like in almost every game this season, the Flames just turn it on for a 10-15 minute stretch and outshoot the other team 10 or 15 to 2. They have periods where it looks like they're the only team on the ice.
In 20 games I think the Flames have only been outplayed maybe 6 times (Nashville with the Smith SO, @NYR, @MTL, PIT stand out). They don't seem to have the swagger that a team this consistently dominant usually has, but maybe that's for the best. It will keep them focused going through the season.

I think he should earn it, lets not go full oiler rewarding guys before they have done anything.

I tuned in during the 2nd period and was honestly going to write after the Flames goal that now there's probably going to be a penalty coming for them.
I didn't see what they did to Kassian, but it's just often way too predictable that a penalty ratio like this for the Flames and them scoring on the PP means the Oilers are finally going to get a PP at the first reasonable chance after it. That's how it often goes, the penalty may have been well deserved, but without seeing the situation I believe it wouldn't have been a call earlier on in the game.
Anyway, looks like there's a great game going on.
