I think it's starting to be obvious that the problem with over valuing character in a player is that eventually you end up with an organization that has a coach and team that are all "really great human beings" like media trumpets constantly but are too nice and too easily pushed over. Nothing wrong with having a few a-holes on the roster that aren't afraid to point fingers and hold others accountable

I'm not saying there shouldn't be changes to the roster. We definitely need an upgrade on RW and some better, more skilled players on the bottom 6. But we've got a good solid core here that should have been much better this year, particularly in the goal scoring department and on the PP. These same players were scoring goals in bunches under Hartley's system.

This year they've definitely scored less, but last year they scored only 5 less goals than the year before under Hartley (and allowed about 40 less against).

So the longer they play GG system the worse they get both worse at scoring goals and worse at preventing them? I think that's why people are upset

Been watching this team since they enetered the league we have won 4 playoff rounds since the cup win . The team never placed all their eggs in one basket in the 80's Gaudreau is flashy puts up points , but he does not punish anyone goes MIA in a lot of heavy checking games and has been completely awol down the stretch drive. We're not going to win anyting as him as the franchise player . I can see it . It;s the goalie it's the coach , sorry no it's the player personal
