We're looking good, playing very calm and composed. I just hope bye-week won't screw up the momentum.

LA will have two games in hand, but Flames would pass them for second with a win today.

It’s nice to see everyone stopped calling for GG’s head. Flames playing inspired hockey.

That was a well managed 2nd. A couple bend but didn't break koments, but overall a really good road period.

If he only had known all it took was a thrown stick he probably would have done that sooner.

Did they pre-tape these intermissions? Zero content on the game itself.

Pretty solid two periods so far, can’t find a fault in their game really at all other than Brouwer whiffing on that two on one. Looking forward to the third, hopefully they can lad the lead.

Early evening games with beer and wine flowing are far more fun than 3 in the morning home games, cheers CP

Flames are definitely playing a solid composed game. Would like it if they added another goal or two to break the canes spirits completely, but it will be full snoozer after that when it happens I think.

Monahan has been invisible!

He's only sick and he's not even playing??? McDavid had the bubonic plague and he still played every game. You're supposed to play your players when they're sick aren't you?

This is why you don't just turf coaches on a whim. Obviously we want to ride out the season and see whether or not the team descends in to oblivion yet, but we've seen multiple spurts of the team playing fairly convincing hockey under this coach, so you ride it out and see if they can find enough consistent execution to win more often than not. I'm hopeful that this is where we're at now and that the team won't relapse that badly in to a state of complacency as the games get more important and the tension ramps up towards season's end.

Well this is how you basically ziplock bag a win (fingers crossed).

Makes you wonder why it was such a struggle for 30 some odd games.

On a side note, is that Flames D that was deep and good on paper going in finally showing up on the ice? Brodie and Hamonic have really settled down, Hamdano is playing like the best in the league, and that third pairing is just plain steady.
