Prediction: Flames come out just as lifeless to start the 3rd.
I've said it before, but the powerplay is really holding this team back right now. The Flames had an opportunity to at least build momentum with that 5 on 3, but instead it was completely lifeless.
They are not only killing their own momentum, they are giving it right back to the other team.
Not near enough effort at all, better amp it up in the 3rd. I have no idea why GG continues to play that fourth line, they might be the worst line in the NHL right now. Hopefully he grabs a clue and shortens his bench and they don't see a shift in the 3rd.
The Flames PP is going to be their downfall. The team can't score goals 5 on 5, and they can't even score with a man advantage, or two. 1 goal a game isn't going to cut it.
The Flames cant score and this is something Treliving waa most worried about at the start of the year. Makes me believe he is going to bring someone in.
Flames are just way to predictable. At this point I'm not to sure if it's the coach and the system or are players just suck and were grossly overrated by Tre. Like I'm seriously hating Dougie Hamilton's game, and not dislike! I actually loath him and his defensive blunders every other game.
Nothing really surprising there, it’s pretty common 2nd period effort for them. I swear they have nap time in the first intermission. Let’s hope for a good third, it’s a one goal game so well within reach if they come out playing from the start... a few years ago we’d all be saying “got em right where we want em” they should be good and rested for the third since they barely worked at all this period.
