Well then... no need for further discussion or analysis.
I assume you watched the game - do you think he played well? I discussed him today with maybe half a dozen people, all of whom thought he was really bad, but none of whom get their opinions established for them on the stat page.

Can't believe some people were criticizing Giordano - he is carrying the team (and Hamilton in particular) on his back right now. He works his ass off on every shift. Thank bloody hell for him.
I am curious about peoples' thoughts on Backlund. I thought that was the worst game I have ever seem him play. He was also awful in another game recently - Dallas I think? I don't know what is up with him, but I sure hope it isn't permanent.

No player is good for 82 games. But you hope you have enough depth that when one player struggles another is stepping up. Unfortunately we only have one line that’s doing anything good on offense right now, they didn’t pick up any points last night, ergo loss. I think they said that Calgary’s bottom 6 had something like 5 goals and Toronto’s has 20some. That is awfully worrisome. We desperately need secondary scoring when Johnny’s line isn’t clicking and we’re getting absolutely nothing (outside one great game from Jankowski’s line). Even the 3M line is struggling on offense right now. Some of these role players need to pick it the eff up.

I think he had a couple glaring mistakes that cloud judgment of a player who mostly plays a quiet and effective game. I think the whole team played poorly relative to whatever standard I have for them, but I don't think Backlund was notably bad.

Anyone think Frolik is not as effective as last year? He lost the puck quite a bit, and played dump and chase at the blue line but was never able to retrieve the puck. I start to worry about his regression, dragging down the 3M line. He is still okay defensively, but his offense seems disapperaing

It feels like the only goals he scores are in OT. I can't even remember the last time he scored a goal in regulation.

I am in suburban Toronto right now and was at an establishment watching the game with my cousins. Many patrons I spoke with are not fans of Ferraro and wish they would have McLennan doing the Leafs games instead.

I agree and I made the comment about his play somewhere on here. His stats don't tell the whole story, he's been playing like a 3rd liner on the second line. Lots of plays have been dying on his stick, I really really like Frolik and I think he works his tail off every night but he's not been as good as the last 2 years. Maybe I'm over thinking it but I would not be mad if they decide to break up the 3M line to spread the wealth out a bit more.

He has 10 points in 24 games - a 34 point pace.
That would be his worst PPG pace in 5 years
