So as it stands:
C1. Chicago 108 pts
W2. Nashville 92 pts (38 ROW)
and
P1. Anaheim 101 pts
W1. Calgary 92 pts (40 ROW)
Nashville plays Thursday in Dallas, and Saturday in Winnipeg to end the season.
Calgary plays Thursday in LA, and Saturday in San Jose to end the season.
Edmonton is also 4 pts back of Anaheim, with remaining games vs SJ, VAN, and VAN. While Anaheim gets Chicago and LA still.
Still a lot of movement is possible. Hoping for a BOA as it gives the Flames the best chance of winning. Though a loss to Edmonton would ruin my summer.

But how does Gio not hit him with his leg in that position? Or should he not finish his checks?

Last night I felt bad for Fowler, this morning I feel like karma from his teammates landed upon him.
Flames will be in tough to win any possible matchup so it doesn't matter given their 60min play since the winning streak. I actually prefer not playing the oilers as I think it will be painful.
I don't care about the last 2 games but I would like to see key guys rested and Brouwer and/or bouma replaced by lazar and Hathaway to see what energy level they bring.

That looks pretty nasty. Gio is not the type of player to intentionally injure someone. He seemed early on in the game like he was out to make a hard-hitting contribution, and I would guess this is just the result of trying to make and finish a hard check.

When I look at the replay, the issue for me is that Gio didn't finish his check. He starts to move to take the body, then appears to just change his mind. Since he failed to push off, he left his knee hanging, and that caused the hit. Not malicious, but definitely reckless. Hopefully that's the end of it given Manson got him pretty good in the fight though.

Flames starring to look like an average playoff bubble team vs the very good team some had them pegged to be. Here's hoping there's another gear for the playoffs.

Gio late with the check and Fowler speeding past him. 100% unintentional.

What a ##### Kessler is going after Frolik. I hope Ferland or Engelland get their chance with him.

EDM is a one line team. CGY is deeper and should win a 7 game series.
Better than going up against grizzled playoff vets.

Brouwer=Bollig. Slightly better version but at least Bollig was willing to dish out some punishment from time to time. I was a big fan of Brouwer when they signed him but he looks liked another guy who bs'd his way into a fat retirement contract. Treliving should learn from this hopefully and hopefully he is exposed and Vegas takes him

The last couple games they've definitely started showing signs of a team that is running out of gas. Hopefully they can rest some skaters up before the post season or I'm starting to think they may have used too much pushing to get into the playoffs.

It's Ryan Kesler. He will run or turtle against anyone he doesn't have a significant advantage on. When it comes to cowards like him, the only way to win is not to play. Just treat him like he isn't even there.

Or, this is the best time to do it. Come out of a slump and put a winning streak together just as the playoffs begin! Maybe!
