The best part is that's the fastest I've seen him skate ask season, just to go off side haha.

So some are complaining about no goals and you are complaining that Wideman is trying to join the rush (he didn't intend to be the firstborn one, there was the old "one too many moves at the blue line").

Exact same thing happened to Stajan earlier this period. No penalty.

If the Isles score here, this one's over. No chance in hell of the Flames coming back from 2-0.

For sure, I see it as one of those balances that they've gotta figure out, such is usually the issue with large sweeping changes to a team. We see a lot of extremes which lead to inconsistencies, we've seen the offense but such poor defensive lapses. Now we see the extreme defense and anemic offense.
If we're talking Monahan however, he's been struggling on both so they've got to build his confidence somehow and if you can force turnovers and frustrate the opposing players the offense should come.

What a crappy rink that is. I'm sure it's got nice wide concourse and granite in the executive suites, but those banners covering up empty space in primo viewing areas, and a car sitting in the corner, and the backup sitting in the Zamboni entrance, the whole thing just looks like terrible.
You'd think they would have at least slightly considered hockey when building it. It's only four years old.
