Was able to see ATL from your link (thanks!), but even then it's strange. I can't see posts before or after and only option after reading it was "Close this window"
Edit - and that's because it's a view single post link
Still strange that some cannot see it

Every player on the team is adding something positive to the lineup. I love it! Everyone is pitching in. The fact that this is the same team from 1 week ago is actually insane

It's almost like fans should have been patient and not lost their minds 2 weeks into the season. But nah, that's not how we operate around here! We overreact and scream for the coaches head 4 games into the season!!
The fire GG crowd is looking pretty silly right now and rightfully so. And it's very satisfying to experience.

The fire GG crowd likely didn't like the hire in the first place. And so a 2 game winning streak doesn't really change things.
I am not sure he was the right hire but no choice but to watch the games at this point and since I'm a fan, I hope he succeeds. If he's not the right guy, no way he doesn't last the whole season unless he is so bad the season is a write-off by that point anyway.

15 to 20 more games of this type of hockey and he'll be pretty secure IMO.

If the Flames can win one of their next two that puts them just below .500 after their first ten. I am a firm believer that any team well under .500 after the first ten games has almost no chance at the post season.
Just knowing that we will have a chance at playing meaningful games after October makes me so happy. It makes watching games from around the league just that much more entertaining.
Go Flames Go!

Why because he is right?
Seriously, probably more than half the people on this board would likely agree with the statement he just made.

This was happening to me as well. Only way I could see the ATL report was search up Gaskal's post and find it there. Even then it kept crashing my IPad though. Worth the effor though. It was great.

Two games does not undo the previous 5 or 6. It seems like the players bought in after the loss to St. Louis but much like the losing streak at the beginning, I will wait for a larger sample size before declaring the team has turned to corner.

Praising him after 2 games and after just getting the first regulation win of the season EIGHT games in is also silly.
But yes, it's nice to see some cohesion. Hopefully this team is figuring it out.

Screaming for a coach to be fired 2 weeks into the season (and you were definitely one of the more vocals ones) when EVERYONE on the ice is learning a new system is even sillier.
I'm not saying he's the perfect coach with the perfect system. But I sure as heck wasn't on board with firing him 2 weeks into the season.
The team definitely deserves credit for the last 2 games. That's all I'm saying. The team deserves a chance to show what it can do. And regardless of how many wins/losses they have, it's going to take more then 2 weeks to see what they've got.

Strategically, the worst thing they did was not practicing the system enough during the pre-season and having worthless plugs hanging around.
That's totally on the GM and coaching staff.

Johnny has had a breakaway 3 times thus far and each time has been hooked from behind with no call. Each time after the play he has stopped, turned to the ref and complained.
Each time he has complained, he gave up possession in the corner and the play went back the other way.
Johnny needs to stop relying on the ref to stop the play and make the call because history has shown, those who become known as whiners don't get the calls that deserve to be called.
As honest as we all believe the refs are in the NHL (sarcasm..) they have a tendency to play favorited as well.
I truly believe that if Johnny doesn't stop and whine in those first two breakaways this season, he get the call last night.
But if you think for a second that there isn't already chatter amongst refs about JG and being weak on the puck and waiting.. no.. depending on the ref to make a call cause he's lost possession, then you have not watched enough hockey in your life. This #### happens all the time and isn't going to stop. There's a reason why the term "the player has to fight through it" exists.

I don't really disagree with you at all. But you can also understand why the dude is frustrated.
