Gawd, I LOVE a strikeout/throwout double play. It's not common, it's hard to complete, and it's sort of a big FU to the other team.

If they didn't overturn Pillar's, they better not overturn this one!

No replay, weird. I think Texas has thrown the towel in for today.

The MLB really needs to do something about looking a replays before an official challenge. Texas was just given at least a minute to look at replays before they declined to challenge. That's ridiculous.

I don't mind it. One minute isn't a whole lot on some of these quick plays. But they should settle on a time that's right.

I think they just had enough time to look at it saw that it was too close to have a chance to be overturned.

I still think it should be something like 20 seconds after the end of the play. Replays should overturn egregious errors. If you need super slo-mo to decide, the umpire's decision is good enough.

Doesn't do much to get to the bullpen early if the reliever throws for 4 innings. Oh well.

Yeah just have a hidden clock that counts 20 seconds once the umpire signals an out. If the manager hasn't indicated anything by that time, it's game on. Gives them a chance to look at a quick replay or two and if it's egregious then there's definitely time to call for a replay. If it's super close, then you gotta make a quick decision.

There's really no such thing in the playoffs. There's off days after every two games so anyone who pitches today would be fine for games two and beyond. Plus in a 7-0 game its not like the Rangers are going to their best relievers anyways.

Damn, today and tomorrow gotta use good old mlb.com for pitch by pitch to 'watch' the game. It was nice seeing the big offensive output! Thanks for any updates anyone posts.

Any reading done on the game helps haha

So the only question today is do you give Estrada the ball for the complete game? I think he's on track to do so, or you give the ball to a reliever in the 9th who needs a confidence boost. Estrada's looking great though.

You keep Estrada in until his pitch count gets very high or he starts putting more than 1 guy on base.

In the Playoffs you don't use arms unless you have to, I think with the way Marco throws he should be good to go at very least 1 more inning.

If they need to use a pitcher I would put someone like Feldmen as it means nothing and hopefully he doesnt stink it up.

I would make it 10 seconds. No need to allow the team to go upstairs to look at it first.

You might need to run three relievers out to get one out each in one inning tomorrow. If Estrada can go all the way, that gives us an advantage.

Simple solution for replays, no getting your guys to check the video. You either call for the replay based on what you saw on the field or you don't.
