Those white people voted to get out of the EU largely because they don't like the influx of immigrants. Much like the US, these people want to return to a time where being white meant you got special treatment. These are people who are bothered by seeing minorities sharing the things they've always enjoyed.

It's not hate speech to call them out on that bigotry.

Yes, democracy prevailed. All pigs are equal, some are just more equal than others. Tyranny of the majority might be a form of democracy but's not a good one.

I'm going to link this article from Vice (pardon the source, I know it's garbage) but this opinion piece I think really hits the nail on the head on the anti-immigration movement.

Its not the entire story though. It's akin to Jacques Parizeau after he lost the referendum in Quebec to separate. There are some parts of England that voted to leave which are comprised of significant populations of people from Bangladesh/India and South Asia. Maybe they bought the line that the leave campaign was selling, but that has nothing to do with race.

Then why even mention what race they are. I really don't care personally, and its not like I'm offended at all. I just think its distasteful to say "it's because of this race" when there is no way that would (nor should) be tolerated in any other discussion.

It just shows that governments are broken. The Brits voted against their government basically and in the US people will vote for Trump because Bush and Obama broke government.

The government can't get anything done for 16 years, who knows maybe Trump can! That's the feeling right now.
