Look who the gm is. I am truly surprised Darnell Nurse was nor named. Hopefully Bowan kiboshed that. And how is Sam Bennett not on that list. He has more kahones than the whole group.

I'm with you there. I'm not sure how much my Flames bias plays in, but Bennett brings a certain, uh, you might say truculence... The team could use a bit more of that.

Ryan Kennedy @THNRyanKennedy
Chiarelli just named Noah Hanifin and Max Domi as two players they will continue to keep an eye on. "We need as much time as we can get it."

I'm not convinced the Hamilton is significantly better than Reilly at this point. I'd take Hamilton for sure over Murray and that's it out the guys presented.
Hamilton hasn't put it all together yet. He has all the tools to do so but he's still very much a work in progress. I love his upside and I think he'll be just fine in the end but he's had trouble cementing himself as the 3rd best Flames defensemen this year. With his personality the assertiveness he needs to be at the top of his game will come as he continues to gain experience and confidence.
I guess I understand the Murray pick since his game is already quite mature. Lower upside than the other guys we're talking about but upside matters little in a tourney that is happening in the next year.

Also, I get that Monahan will probably be used in a shut-down role, but it's worth pointing out that the only player on the team with more goals in his career is Saad - who has 3 more goals in 54 more games played.

There should be more orange on the white version of the TNA jersey.

No one is significantly better than anyone else. But in saying that, don't you also need to agree that he is at least to some degree, better?

I would think that Saad is the captain, only cup winner on the team

So they're going to play one period each? Or Crawford and Hotlby will just split games after Price gets hurt?

Actually surprisingly not. RNH has had a bad year. Monahan is what? 3 20+ goals season and on a 60 point pace this season?
Chiarelli did say he expects RNH to be on the team in the end though.

I don't believe Hamilton is better at this point, no. I think they are pretty close. Reilly plays more important minutes on his team.

Brodie or Gio could easily be in over Vlasic, and I'm assuming one or both will be on the final roster.
