You should check out the TGR movies. They release one a year and they're always amazing. It's mostly skiing though just in case that makes a difference to you. Their movies are a mostly Big Mountain and Powder Glade goodness but they usually do a street scene or two as well. They don't do park.

those retro ski pictures are amusing as guys are skiing in what looks like slacks/trousers and of course no helmets.

i was curious about that one picture of skiing at sunshine, whereabouts does anyone think that was taken?

This pic? Would be at the bottom of where Standish and Strawberry chairs are now. The trees still almost look exactly the same.

Did they clear the trees back then or is it naturally that bare?

Looking like a 2-day 60+cm total is on its way:

I'm at work going cough cough cough, probably heading down there after work to sleep and wake up there for first chair.

Got the snow fall warning for Castle today. 90+ cm in the mid/upper mountain! Unreal. Heading out there this upcoming weekend for what should be an epic day.

So glad to see Castle getting the snow they are this season. Even though it's been relatively warm and not much snow fall in Calgary region, they have been getting absolutely dumped on consistently all season. Almost 7 metres total snowfall. They were under a real threat to shut down for good if this season wasn't good to them due to the horrible year they had last season. Very glad to see them being the best ski hill in Canada this season.

90+ at Castle? Where was this warning?

They got 50 in 24 hours from Monday to Tuesday AM. I hit it yesterday, and although it was pretty incredible by 2PM it was ski'd off. Warm temps made the low elevations pretty sticky and tough to ski.

Warm temps coming up pretty much spell the end of the year for Castle:

I love that hill as much as anyone, but she's a bad bitch when conditions suck. Not sure I would go this week unless temps drop and they get another 20+

I posted a warning above! I got my fill by 11:45, could hardly walk!

This was on Siwash, also had first tracks on Drifter.

This one is Mt Norquay, up off the Big Chair. IMO one of the best runs / views in the rockies

I've got a few days off work here. Haven't been out for a few months, any mountains worth going to still?

I'll probably head out Sunday if there's anything good. Kickinghorse? Louise? Whistler? Any of them with decent conditions.

Jerry always makes my day.

Anyone else heading to Norquay for the Bozo Cup tomorrow? I agreed to go, and then found out Kicking Horse is re-opening this weekend. Silly me.

I'm heading to Louise for the weekend. Looking at the web cams I'm very scared. It looks pretty bad up there. Has anyone been to Louise in the last couple of weeks?

A buddy of mine went last week for a couple days.Said he had a ton of fun even though conditions were so/so. I'd expect it to be really icy in the morning and soften up towards the afternoon. Your typical spring skiing should be expected. Lots of Beers and enjoying the afternoon slush. Get yo Goggle Tan on.

Though, now that I look at the weather forecast it might not be sunny at all. Hopefully you'll get lucky and get a 50CM spring dump and its a powder day! Good Luck.
