That's kind of what I was trying to get at.

It's not really innovative, but it's simple and for the most part, extremely polished.

And Naughty Dog always finds a way to push the graphical limits of Sony's hardware.

It's not particularly a series I enjoy, but indeed there's nothing wrong with the formula.

Hah. Uncharted had issues last time too around at the Sony experience with Drake falling through the world. I do wonder how much of what we see on stage is really live in-game or recordings.

Anyhow, really looking forward to visiting the studio in a few weeks. Those guys and gals are such nice people.

Almost certainly. I don't think they said "console exclusive" but I could be wrong.

Tomb Raider was darker, more adult definitely better than Uncharted 3 but I'm a big fan of Uncharted 1 & 2.

Great showing from both Sony and Microsoft.

Really shouldn't be surprised as 2 years into a new generation is when things tend to get good.

Thought Sony had the better show overall, just great pace and game after game with lots of gameplay. Think it being gameplay vs canned trailers is what really puts Sony past The Xbox show.

Recore might be the game I'm most excited for though. Lots of good games the next two years.

Just curious why? It was a nice CG trailer but I find it really hard to get THAT excited for a game without seeing what it actually looks like.

Ya I simply couldn't go back and play the Uncharted series after playing Tomb Raider. To me the hype should be around TR2 instead of Uncharted 4

Team behind it has made great platformers in the past.

Like the Orb concept, art style and universe feels like s Pixar/Star Wars mash up.

Understand the hype and importance behind the games Sony announced but the Japanese games usually aren't my style.

Kind of taking a step back the conferences were probably closer then first thought. Sony had three bombs of huge hype (TLG, FF7, Shenmue) but remains to be seen if its anything more then hype.

Yeah I think it looks really cool too, just found it strange that the game is pegged for 'Early 2016' but we didn't see any gameplay footage, while there were games not coming out til Holiday 2016 that we saw gameplay demoes for. Hopefully we'll see something during the show proper.

Naw, Amazon is about as good as it gets. They don't charge til they ship and they will also reduce your price if they lower the price at any point while you have it pre-ordered.

EDIT: Though some people do have some (very) minor problems with having it arriving not necessarily on release day without having subscribed to Prime.

I'm hoping to see more from Tomb Raider tomorrow. Want to hear about more about it's RPG mechanics and gameplay and story. Was a big fan of the first Tomb Raider reboot and enjoyed it more than Uncharted but I thought Sony's demo of Uncharted 3 showed better than the demo of Tomb Raider at the MS presser.
