I just don't think the Ducks can win the cup with Andersen. He looked horrible tbh.

I am not going to make any excuses for the lost and the elimination. The guys put up a good fight against a much better Anaheim Ducks. Yes they made some mistakes but that's how it goes. They did not quit in this series and did not put their head down when Anaheim tied the game. They almost scored at the end of the regulation. Karri Ramo was spectacular and played great. I hope the Flames find a way to re-sign Karri Ramo for next season.

Before the start of the season, not a lot of people (fans and media) even thought the Flames will make the playoff let alone winning the first round then give Anaheim a hard fight. During the season, more and more people started respecting this team. Some of the media who predicted the Flames to be at the bottom and going for McDavid sweepstakes starting to like them and respect them because they are resilient and never quit. Some of the coaches like Boudreau publicly mentioned he respect the way the Flames played and I am sure other coaches feel the same way.

I am upset that we lost and got eliminated but I am not dissapointed. For some reason I didn't get way too upset whenever the Flames lose to Anaheim. It was a different feeling whenever we lose a game to Vancouver though. Anyways I am looking forward in seeing the improvement of our young guys. Gaudreau, Bennett, Ferland, Jooris, Granlund, Wotherspoon and others.

Already looking forward to next season. The Flames got a ton of experience for their young players this year.

I'm not looking forward to shaving off my playoff beard, I might need to soak it in battery acid to soften it up.

Just have to say this with all due respect:

If I could have any player in the NHL right now to build a franchise around, it would by Ryan Getzlaf. He was an absolute game-changing stud in this series for Anaheim. Without him, they would have been lost.

Props where props are due, he's an amazing player.

I think it being such a fun and memorable season makes it sting even more we lost this one.

But nothing else to say except how proud we all are of this team, and thank you for being the team everyone envies. How many times have you heard people say "How can you not love the Flames?"

Heart & soul team. I love that.

It does bug me that we had the lead going into the third, and did all that needed to be done to get that, to piss it away. As was last game.

Backlund, a perimeter player this series, was probably on watch after his slash on Getzlaf in G2, and although chinsey, there were a few chinsey ones tonight.

Last game it was Colborne, more unlucky that Beauchemin was a bleeder to get 4, but the Flames had the game tied there at that point.

Tied going into the third, and a lead into the third, and get nothing out of those two games it is a bit of a surprise, and downer...one of those goes the other way and I like the Flames chances. But we need more then the first line to be the line to generate any puck possession...outside of the odd surge from the Bennett line in the cycle, if the first line wasn't on, it was clear it out of the zone and get off.

Once again an important game outcome was affected by referees who were trying NOT to affect the outcome...from about the middle of the 3rd, the whistles were firmly planted in the stripes' pockets...the Ducks then continually got away with blatant hooks, two blatant trips, and then a clear slash/interference on the GWG...As you guys/gals know, I am NOT a Flames fan, but, I can fully empathize with the frustration that you guys/gals may be feeling.

Yup. I'm not sure this is the absolute truth, but I'm pretty sure he beat us single-handedly in this series. There's a reason he has a banner in the saddle dome. I'm not a fan of the rest of the Ducks team, but I respect the hell out of Getzlaf.

Thanks, but you may empathize more when you have to deal with that crap next round. Good luck to you guys! Apparently you'll need it!!!

I'm sitting here drinking a beer and in disbelief that the season has come to an end. We've been on such a high this season that we all are going to wake tomorrow morning and reality is going to hit hard.

You think back to last season and how that one NHL game at the end of last season showed Gaudreau how he needs to prepare to play in the NHL. Now you look at Sam Bennett who played 11 NHL playoff games and didn't even look out of place! He's gonna be a monster next year

Did people watching on TV think it was a real quiet game too? Ducks fans weren't much louder then flames fans in the noosebleeds...

Yup, I have one beer left and then I start training for a triathlon. Hard to believe the season ended tonight. Still lots to look forward to though. Hopefully I get to attend the Draft here in Florida!!

I agree with this, but...

I don't mind the team we built around Giordano.

May he be doomed to finish one game away from the Cup at least once more in his career... and never win it.

The Calgary Flames: A team where an 18 year old has more playoff experience then the captain.

You guys can be very proud of your team and the never say die will to succeed. Great season and inspiring playoff run. Your team should be even better next season with having this playoff experience. Congrats.
