Schlemko had the same number of shots on goal in Game 1 as Hudler and Monahan have all series. Hudler has one shot, Monahan has three. Time for them to show some jump.

Ok, several things to take away from this video.

1) If anyone deserved an instigator penalty it's Ferland. Refs really mixed this one up.

2) Engelland comes in and grabs Dorsett just like everyone was grabbing everyone. He bulldogs him a little, pulls him around to the corner, but it took about 15-20 seconds for them to start throwing punches. There is zero reason to give Engelland an instigator penalty there. Ref mistake number 2.

3) Hamhuis is a 3rd man in on a fight. No question in my mind. They both basically tackle Engelland to the ice. There's no doubt Hamhuis was involved in that fight. League can't overlook that. Automatic suspension.

4) Engelland is done fighting, starts skating off. THEN Dorsett flies in and grabs him and throws a quick sucker punch. Engelland has no choice but to defend himself, hence another fight.

5) No official gets involved between Stajan and Richardson even though Richardson is throwing punches while ON TOP OF Stajan. Horrible job of protecting players that are vulnerable.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how the referees came up with the punishments they did. Really terrible job.

Have to hope NHL fixes the penalty calls on Engelland otherwise flames could be hooped for their next game. If Hartley only trusts Potter with 3 minutes a game, what is he going to trust Wotherspoon with?

Losing Engelland would hurt so hopefully they sort that all out.

Good news is that the two games are in our barn. Engage C of Red: Playoff edition. If they thought the Kings game was loud, they ain't seen nothing yet.

If I remember correctly the only way they don't deem it a third man in is, is if the original fight is deemed a match penalty where one player is basically murdering the other one.
