I'm saying that the reason why we can make fun of German accents is cause white on white insults are okay in society today.

I think he might be trying to point out that he's not offended by something mocking Polish people, but I'm really not sure. Again, that really depends on the material and who you're talking to. My girlfriend loses her #### when people joke about the war.

It's not a white on white thing. It's a same-group on same-group thing. I have no problems with gay comedians joking about gay men, but I'd probably find it distasteful coming from a straight comedian.

I find it amusing that even in the politically correct thread where you can't compare people to women, children, gay etc. because of the negative connotations it is still cool to slam old people. And it is the one group that we are all going to be in one day (we hope).

Calling someone ugly implies that their worth as a person is tied to how closely their appearance alligns with traditional views of attractiveness in Western society. That degrades all people.

Is that a bigger deal than implying that women aren't as good at hockey as NHL players? On the surface, it seems like it is, but as someone who isn't all that ugly and isn't at all a woman, it's not really my place to say.
