I completely disagree with you about his ability in his own end, but that seems irrelevant, as you seem to agree it would be ill advised to over-pay for him given what the likely asking price would be.

We're one of the most offensive teams in the league from our back end. Over-paying for Yandle is not filling an area of need.
Agree to disagree on his defensive capabilities then broheim! Nevertheless, I hope we don't sign him. It'd prefer to throw big money at Boychuk as a UFA.

Great job guys, we ruined a trade due to our sleuthing.

If Gio's season is over too? Say that is true and this is a deal to help immediately and later, is it still too heavy a price to pay to not throw a weak third pairing and an up and coming Youngster (Wotherspoon etc.) into the deep end during a playoff drive?

I think T-Spoon can handle it but perhaps management doesn't want him to.

By HR I assume you mean the player agent ....

I doubt he or she was laughing. Some flames brass probably got wind of CP finding his or her mistake and quickly made the call to web server company.

Actually you see what happened was the IT person (being a computer person) was obviously perusing CP. He (she) saw that we had cracked the trade code so she (he) immediately logged in and corrected the issue before Burke found out it had leaked the trade.

Thankfully (or in our case unthankfully) they narrowly avoided putting the returning player on the roster. Close call.

They should change the trade deadline to April 1st at noon one year just to see the anarchy that would ensue. SureLoss would have a meltdown.

It would be an awesome PR move!

Sure, maybe Mason Raymond didn't get traded this evening, maybe all this excitement was for nothing. But it's not the destination that defined this evening, it was the journey.

Treliving almost had a trade done here and screwed it up, it figures.

Laughed when I couldn't log on to CP. A trade a trade a trade CP is melting CP is melting!

Man could I have a lot of fun as an IT guy for the Flames website!
