And that's before you give up 3-5 first round picks for Mariota. Chip going scorched earth here, either he's a genius or he's back in college, but either one gets him paid big time. He basically can't lose.

How so? Bradford is so fragile that Sanchez is in effect the starter right now. Foles might not be perfect but he's clearly the best of the 3 QBs. If they don't get Mariota, what did they accomplish here?

Patriots might actually want him to go to the Jets so they can annihilate them with a tampering charge. Jets clearly and overtly tampered before, signing him might make the punishment the Jets get more severe.

The Eagles/Rams swap also includes swapping first rounders this year, Eagles now at #10. 3 more first round picks and Mariota is theirs.
