Maybe instead of holding it in Penticton they should hold it in one of the cities that are competing and just rotate between the cities, at least you would get a better home crowd? Are there even many in the crowd what the Canucks play?

Yeah, I would buy a weekend pass in Calgary. And I travel lots to Van, Edm and Win a lot this time of year so I could extend a biz trip easy.

It's more about growing the fan base than filling the stands I think.

I stayed for the oilers and Canucks game after and it was a full house. The oilers fans were just as loud as the Canucks fans as well. Could use a few more calgary fans but I was still impressed to see how many came out.

Canucks fans in general are quite ignorant about their own prospect pool. Of course, they know the big names like Shinkaruk, Horvat and Virtanan. But overall, they don't have a clue as to who's who outside of Vancouver.
