It's not looking good unless one of the centers is injured or playing badly.

Yeah, I don't think I've been this excited about a Flames prospect ever. All I am hoping for is a Patrick Kane clone.

You know what. I hope Bieska becomes the next captain Canada at the worlds.

Rob had Dave Tippett on for Hockey Central at noon and he said Monahan was going in as the 13th forward but he would likely gain more icetime as the tournament progressed.
Remember in international hockey you can dress 7 dmen and 13 forwards so Monahan will play and can we not all agree he is extremely likely to earn more icetime?

Since I couldn't find the highlights from the Canada / Switzerland game on YouTube, I went ahead and compiled them myself.
Unfortunately the broadcast is in French, but oh well.

Canada vs France is on TSN right now. Monahan was out for the pre game skate so I assume he's playing
France has had 3-4 great scoring chances so far, they're the better team so far
The guys I recognize playing for France are Huet, Roussel and Da Costa

Seven minutes left in the first. Still no score but Canada taking over.

Monahan finally gets his first shift with about 6 and a half left in the first. He had a scoring chance in front, but wasn't able to get a decent shot away.
Reimer has had to make the tougher saves so far.
