That eagle delivering the puck to centre ice was really cool.

Is Reinhart's suspension now over? Or does he have to sit out the game against the US also?

It was three games so he should be good to go tomorrow.

Won the game but it covered over a lot of warts right now.

The team just refuses to go to the net hard and score some dirty goals. Lots of cycling which is hilarious to watch because with no one in front of the net it doesn't accomplish much - too many guys trying to find open ice in the high slot instead of in the paint.

Right after the 2nd goal (finally a garbage goal!) the next few shifts were awesome to see as Canada was finally just throwing everything at the net and driving hard.

They're going to be in tough against a rested American squad but still hold their destiny in their own hands and with the removal of the semifinal bye this year it really doesn't matter whether they win that game or not.

It's just about getting their game together and peaking at the right time now. Neither goalie has stepped up so far which is troublesome but hopefully whoever starts tomorrow takes the ball and runs with it.

Gauthier for me. For someone that is supposed to be a defensive stalwart for the team, I see a lot of turnovers and being hemmed in his own zone 5 on 5, and never utilized much at all on the PK.

Most noticeable for me is Dumba - and for usually the worst reasons. Sometimes makes a good play, but way too many turnovers and terrible decision making. Sometimes you can almost hear that mousewheel spinning in his head as he is deciding on what he should do. I can see why he got passed over last year. He really reminds me of Phaneuf, but a smaller and less physically imposing player - though Phaneuf actually had a good WJC. Just a 'lot of tools, but no toolbox' sort of player.

This, truly, may be the single most assinine thing ever written on CP...and that really is saying something.

Brent Sutter has coached 15 games at the World Junior Championship.

He is 14-0-1 in those games.....which I would suggest places him as the single most successful coach in the history of the whole tourney.

Really brutal allright.

Good lord.
