So, Okotoker............you left Boston for that mess, eh?
Bet he wishes he could take a mulligan on that decision.

Too bad because he used to be a favourite of mine but he ruined that by buying the hype that the oilers are going to be good.
Every time I think this team has hit rock bottom they find a whole new low. Will management, players, and coaches ever be held accountable for these results? We check TSN apps every morning after games like this and expect that the hammer has finally come down... But nope... Same players, same coaches, same management... Same results. Never change oilers! It's just too entertaining.

But can you really blame him? At his age this was his last chance at a big pay day and while he has been handsomely paid so far in his career he hasn't really made the big bucks. He was probably thinking of his future and his families' future and decided the money was the best thing to go after in his career while still possibly being able to win. I doubt the Bruins were offering him anything more than two years at $3 million so he essentially got his last big payday and I can't blame an aging declining player for doing that. He's got a cup so it is time to think about his family. In his position I would probably do the same thing.

That's not actually true. There's been what, 5 coaches and 3 GMs in 5 years?
Clearly the problem lies elsewhere

I guess it depends what your priorities are. You could be right, maybe he just wants to cash in one last time. If I'm in his spot I'm trying to win another Cup every day of the week. It's not like he's on welfare, he's made quite a few dollars over the years. And it's not like the Oilers are a contending young team that has a chance to win it all in the next couple of years.
More power to him if all he was looking for was more money to play in his hometown. But you don't get to play in the NHL forever, you might as well try to win as many Cups as you can.

No credit should be given. As much as I like the guy, for saying that, he should have a mouthful of Ed the Sock! Whatever happened to that guy?? He could make a nice return in Coiler Land.
A hybrid with Mr. Hankie?!? Cigar out of the mouth with a peanut on one side and a brown kernel of corn on the other...hmmm..photoshop anybody?? More a picture of the mighty coil than anything. Hrudey's better than that.
Nothing urgent though. We saw that on the ice. Thanks so much Coil for not disappointing!

^^ to add to that or maybe make it easier, a photoshop of Klowe with the balloon figure on his head and the aforementioned would be deluxe. Maybe even easier to do!
Just giving some ideas here. Mix in a bit of that Tony the Tiger Frosted Flakes "They're Greaattt!!!!" and yeah.. Many thanks from me..for a good long time.
Thanks already in advance. If nothing comes of it, I still delight in that now blackhole franchise of despair delivering their true goods. I knew they would come through!
Love those guys! *sob*

A picture of Oiler ruin in your mind is worth thousands of words..
Seeing that train wreck and it being publicized nationally:
PRICELESS!!!
Disclaimer: We played well to start and would have made a game of it if it weren't for that untimely goal by Stewie late in the first. Once they scored that second one, our young guys just seemed to let off a bit. That's where we need our quality veteran guys to step up..guys like Perron, Schmitty, and most of all, Captain Fearless! Ohh, Andrew, why didnt you go gloves off in the corner on that guy after that hit??! That could have lead to another winning streak! We gotta turn that dang corner! Show some guts!!
Bryz..what happened man?? Seriously. You used to be cool here. What happened?? You are cool. Sorry. You rocked it on that HBO series. Your team mates threw you under the bus harshly..deep tread in the tires and all. Garbage!! (Kicks over Oiler trash can that would make Brent blush). (Same response to hit on our future Captain Serious, but nobody would dangle with our tough guy, but we doo danngle. WOW!!!) Bryz, you are the heir apparent. Your brilliant white mask glows and we award you a 7 year 6 $Million dollar reward! We feel you have turned the corner since that terrible time in the place we love those Cheese Steaks. Go get 'em Dog!!!

Some of my favourite Oilers fans quotes from this season:
"If the Oilers had only average goaltending, they would be competing for the playoffs."
"Yes, they lost, but if it had been Dubnyk in net the score would have been far worse."
How much worse, I wonder. 15–0?

But, to add to that and certainly not to take away from it, they fought!! Like that first 10 minutes,,HOLY Cow !!! They just poured on the coals like it was from the 80's!! Love that stuff!! They were bringing it from everywhere. Like who could stop em?!? Name me one guy outside of their goalie. That's just crap!!! This was THE time.
Then..well, they just got stupid on us and dang it!!!! They seemed to get bigger! We hate it when that happens! Seriously..most of us flat out dominated in our pre-pro ranks. Like, sick sick deadly SICK numbers!! We would bring those numbers up, but whoahh..too sick. So they flukes one or two out and hit Tayleer. Big frickin deal!!
Our fans do us a solid and show up for loud raucous music every g'damn night and we want to match that sh*t. Ok!? OK???!!
Yeah, thought so.
I'll end this now with all due credit to our voice of the Calgary Flames: (yeah, I know)
WHERE IS IT!!?!????

Agreed! They should draft the highest ranked goalie with their first overall pick this year

Suicide hotline: You seem to be in serious distress. Can we help??
Eakins: ARGGGGHHH!!!!!!
Hotline: Tell us, what is wrong??!
Eakins: we can't win a ******* game to save our lives!!!
Hotline: We can't help win you #######games to save your lives. Is there any other way we can help?
Eakins: I'm just in such a dark hole. I coach the Oilers and we seem to be spiralling into the ground. *sob, clenching fists*
Hotline: You mean a dark, bottomless hole of despair where your 1st round picks are turnips and all other picks are beyond smoke in the air from a burning pile of rubbish?
Eakins: ummm...yeah, I guess
Hotline: Gouge your eyes out and then pick your poison. We suggest poison first tho, ok? Or just quit, like your team has long ago.
Eakins: Really???
Hotline: really. You're in a really deep dark hole of despair. Watching the post game show will make things worse. So will VHS from those days of yore. Sorry. You can't win.
Eakins: I thought we could..we won like 3 or 4 straight, but we can't turn the corner. They said we did turn that dang thing!!!! Grrrr!!!
Hotline: You said though that you're in a downward spiral. You can't turn the corner unless you are some kind of freak a#s whirling dervish. Are you a whirling dervish?
Eakins: We sure as heck are!! In pregame circling around real fast, those cool drills, and..and..that streak we had! That was freakin' awesome!!
Hotline: We saw that and know you guys are still hot garbage. Good luck to you getting to that elusive 60 point or who cares total.
Eakins: C'mon!!! I thought you were here to help!
Hotline: I wish we could. it's break time Dear..we all have to welcome our hard working team back home after a valiant road trip. Our boys never quit. Maybe you should.
Eakins (with Dubey's blue hard hat on): ooohhhh
