Kelowna the first team through with a sweep of the t-birds, easier than I thought for them, they will have a good rest. Portland is up 3-1 but absolutely destroyed Victoria at home, looking like a Kelowna-Portland west final, hopefully should be a good one... will have to get out to at least a couple. Give Portland the slight edge with the way they finished the season and Myles Bell out but it should be entertaining... hopefully shaw picks that series up, seems like a no-brainer on talent but Edmonton is the big Canadian market left so you never know.

Kootenay and Edmonton up in the east... just 2400 folks turned out in Cranbrook tonight for game 3 to see them beat the Hat... ouch.

Halfway there!

Nice to get that series done and rest up a bit for Portland, hopefully Victoria stretches that series out a bit longer. Maybe Bell comes back in time.

Think that having home ice against Portland will be the difference, Kelowna should frustrate the Hawks attempt to score everything off the rush and on the PP. Will likely go seven though.

The East is a dud. A fairly weak and untested Edmonton team is getting an easy road through. Portland or Kelowna should beat them.

What a great time of year!

Portland is through, going to be a big series. It should be the finals... wonder how beat up the winner will be though, you are right, Edmonton has had a cakewalk.

Cranbrook took a 3-1 chokehold tonight... hopefully they give mulletville a good run for their money. Longshot but would love to see Sam Reinhart and co light them up.

PM me if you're willing to bet on the Kelowna-Portland series.

What would you set the odds on it for Portland?

If he wants to bet on Cranbrook coming out of the east I'm willing to take his money.

You've trumpeted all year that Portland is better than Kelowna and now you want odds? Hilarious.

Straight up bet.

I don't think that would be a wise gamble.
Straight up should be the way to go.

Yeah asking for anything other then a straight up bet is a joke. Man up or just shut up.

Especially the way the hawks have been rolling and loaded up... I'd even argue that they are slight favourites. Kelowna has a great chance but they won the league on the strength of their first half relative to Portland who have been in better form.

Home Ice adv. Only a sucker would take a straight up bet. I know you guys are confident in Kelowna.

Medicine Hat forces game 7 with a 2-1 win in Cranbrook earlier tonight.

I think Kootenay could at least take a game or two from mulletville, Medicine Hat, admire their fight but they would be cannon fodder.

If the Tigers can get past Kootenay, I wouldn't count them out. They battle.

I think the Portland-Kelowna series is a pick 'em. Could go either way imo. Whoever the Oil Kings play last 5 games, if that.

Mike Williamson Hitman coach pays the price for a very disappointing playoff result. I thought he's been a good coach over the last few years. However it's hard to find another cause for what was a stunning turnabout in play for the team against the Ice. It just seemed the team was not ready for playoff hockey and that the things that made them successful in the regular season were no where to be seen.

Tigers complete the comeback from a 3-1 series deficit with a 4-1 win in game 7.
