3-2 City. Wow. City should have been called for a foul upfield. Boateng should have cleared it. Ugly ugly ugly.

I'm following through a gamecast so I'm not seeing any of it. Dammit. Its frustrating because it isnt a 'super-important' game but they seemed to have had it under control.

Boateng had the ball go right through his legs. He swung and missed on the clear. Pretty hilarious if it wasn't such a key goal against...

Dante tried his best to give City another one. Thankfully Neuer was there with the stop

I believe that if Man City win 4-2, they win the group on away goals.

- higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
- higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;

Dante playing like he's taken half a pack of sleeping pills washed down with some Night Nurse and a whiskey chaser.

That tackle on Ribery was 100x more a penalty than the one called against Dante. Shaqiri has brought a little life in for Bayern, he and Alaba have done well. Bayern's middle, midfield and defense, have been incredibly weak

They needed a wake up call. This loss means absolutely nothing, thankfully.
Mandzukic and Dante should be stapled to the bench. Mandzukic had a tap in that he quit running on, it would have put Bayern up 3-2 at the time.
City played well, credit to them, but incredibly lucky. Their third goal gets cleared 999/1000....

I honestly think Mandzukic is being overplayed.
I'll try and watch this game later, but it sounds to me like a 'means-nothing' game to Bayern and they played like it.

I think Mandzukic is terribly overrated. Should have kept Gomez.
EDIT: That's not quite true. I think Mandzukic is a perfect type of player to be the second striker in a 1-2 punch. He can come in and give good performances when needed and to give the top guy a break. I just don't see him as good enough to be a top striker

Gomez is the better player, but I think the shift to Mandzukic was incredibly important to the modern Bayern.
A big central talisman is like a drug. When it works you want to keep doing it so Bayern had to get rid of him. Gomez was too limited in his field of play.

I prefer the big central striker as he is going to demand extra attention. I think that creates more space for the players around him

I think Dortmund misses more wide open chances than any club in Europe
