The 50/50 draw was crazy. I've done it numerous times and this was just nuts and apparently a record for a Flames game. Had a lineup in front of me all the time even during the play. The higher the total went the longer the lines. Funniest was this guy who came before the game and bought 11 tickets. Then later he came back and bought 11 more. That's when I noticed he had his Langkow number 22 jersey on. Just a tad superstitious perhaps?
The winner, I'm sure, thought this was the best Flames game ever.

I thought the Flames did an adequate job with getting the fans back last night. The buzz was in the dome for sure in the opening period.
Downside of 50% concessions was the lineup, and I was waiting for the girl to finish ringing things up, when I realized that the amount on the cash register was all I had to pay.
I wonder if the Flames had more concessions, and had their regular prices dropped by 20% if they would actually make more money. I know I am reluctant to buy food at the dome (I sneak bottles of water in and eat before the game). I have no problem with high booze prices (helps limit the drunks at the game) but gouging on food seems excessive.

I appreciated the 50% off at Jugo Juice. Seems in the past that if there was a promotion at the concessions that it didn't include Jugo Juice.

The external vendors set their own pricing, which is why the Flames usually don't apply deals to Jugo Juice, Pocket Dawg, Lemon Haven and the like. I suspect in this case, the team is compensating those outside vendors for the difference.

I know the owner of that stand he was upset about the promotion but I guess the Flames offered to compensate him for his losses so it worked out in his favor. If he didn't complain they were not going to compensate him nor was he forced to offer the discount

They release tickets last minute for pretty much every game. They reserve some for vendors and sponsors.

They are required to keep a minimum number of tickets available until some time before each game for requests from the league or PA. Any that have gone unrequested are sold to the public.
I believe that number increased in the new CBA.

As a follow-up to this...
Under the old CBA, teams had to make 50 tickets in the lower bowl available to the players on the visiting team, and 8 tickets in the lower bowl to the NHLPA.
Under the new CBA, teams must make 80 tickets available to the players on the visiting team (at least 50 must be in the lower bowl); and 16 to the NHLPA.
If unclaimed, the team can sell those tickets at 1:00pm on game day (10:00am for afternoon games).

I know food is still 50% off tonight again, but does anyone know if parking is free again tonight? I'm going to leave pretty soon, and just wondering where to park.

I believe Stampede Park only offered it for the home opener. Expect to pay.

So I just got my Home and Away Jerseys in the mail from the promotion and I have a few questions.
1) Both Jerseys have the Reebok logo on the back, and not the name written out like I thought it would be. I was under the impression that we got the most recent Jerseys?
2) The stitching for the name/number on the back of the home jersey starts about 1 inch below the Reebok logo, which I feel is normal? The stitching on the away jersey starts like 4.5 inches below the Reebok logo, which I think is WAY too low. There is a huge space there. I can't even find pictures online with the name and number so low.
How are all your jerseys stitched? Should I go and get them replaced?

I wasn't going to complain but mine was less than perfect. The name bar was below a hem line on one side and on top of it at the other. Nobody would notice from a distance, but I certainly did when I examined it.

Anybody still waiting for their orders from this? I made mine on Jan 20, and haven't heard a peep aside from the initial order confirmation e-mail.

I brought in two jerseys to get crested -- one on the 17th, one on the 19th. Both are defunct styles (white pedestal and blank horsehead) and I was surprised to get them back a couple of weeks ago (thought they would take much longer).
Both were almost perfect -- only complaint was that the namebar material looked like the new edge material instead of the old air-knit material. Virtuallly indistinguishable though -- I was satisfied as I was afraid they would use the wrong font or something.
