I'm not sure that is possible.

I was watching video tonight from today's Superbowl parade and it was pretty clear Ed Reed with he was acting today, his heart/mind is in Baltimore. He wants to be playing in Baltimore next season. Who knows if it will happen though.

I know I read Greg Jennings put his up home for sale in Wisconsin last week. Is there someone where I can find a list of other big names that will hit the market in March?

Sounds like the Ryan to New Orleans deal is not done, and hopefully it doesn't get done. Saints are interviewing Georgia DC Todd Grantham on Thursday, Rob Ryan on Friday.

If it comes down to those two, I'd much rather have Grantham.

As per Schefter: Giants release RB Ahmad Bradshaw

Does he have to clear waivers or is he immediately a free agent? Titus Young was released a few days ago and claimed by the Rams so I'd imagine it would be the same process with Bradshaw

Didn't see this posted anywhere. Gregg Williams is reinstated by the League.

So, Payton's one year suspension is equal to Williams' indefinite suspension in the league's eyes? Cool.

The Baltimore Ravens are planning to build a statue for linebacker Ray Lewis, owner Steve Bisciotti said Thursday.

Lewis played the final game of his legendary 17-year career in Sunday's Super Bowl victory over the 49ers. He was a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker.

Bisciotti said he doesn't know where the statue would be built and doesn't know how long it would take. A statue of Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas is outside M&T Bank Stadium.

"I think he set himself apart in Baltimore sports history," Bisciotti said of Lewis, "and we will certainly look into it and I would not be surprised if there is one there in the next year or two."

Sounds like Ryan to the Saints is official.

I think Rob Ryan is long on bluster and family reputation, and short on actual results. Of course, I'll defer to the Payton/Loomis brain trust as they have earned my trust over the past 7 years.

The fact is, if the defense can hold the opposition to 28 points or less, and create a few turnovers, they are going to win a lot of games.

Agreed Moe. Not crazy about this deal either, but the bottom line is, the D doesn't have to be all that great for the Saints to win. It just needs to not be historically terrible, and as you said, produce the odd timely TO.

If they can even crack the top 20 in D rankings it should be enough with that O. We'll see how it goes...

Interesting times ahead in Steeler land...

Quote:
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette believes that "March Massacre" could be "a drop in the bucket" compared to the massive overhaul coming in the next couple of months.

"The Steelers could lose every one of their free agents," writes Bouchette, "and they might have to lose a few more veterans if they don't agree to take less money in 2013."

Roughly $14 million over the salary cap, general manager Kevin Colbert will have tough decisions to make as he tries to free up space to ink free agent cornerback Keenan Lewis on the heels of a breakout season.

We already know top offensive weapon Mike Wallace is poised to leave Pittsburgh to cash in on the open market.

The next to go could be 2008 Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison, who has lost too much speed as an edge rusher. Soon to be 35, Harrison carries a cap number slightly more than $10 million. Former agent Joel Curry tells NFL.com that releasing Harrison would free up $5 million in cap room.

Joining Harrison and Wallace on the discard pile will likely be tailback Rashard Mendenhall, run-plugger Casey Hampton, left guard Willie Colon, and linebacker Larry Foote. With the Baltimore Ravens also turning to a youth movement, a window may be opening for the Cincinnati Bengals to take control of the AFC North in 2013.

Rob Ryan I thought did fairly well last year considering A) He coached for the Cowboys, who have a propensity to underachieve and B) They had a decent amount of injuries. The Saints issue is really the quality of players they have, realistically they need help in every area on defense except maybe linebacker. They need pass rush, they need DLine depth, they need corner help, they need back end help.

But yeah amazingly all he really needs to do is have a defense in the 22-28 range and the Saints are probably a playoff team.

So who does everyone realistically want their team to draft? Personally for the Colts my first choice would be Xavier Rhodes, big CB from FSU, if not him then Elam (S from Florida) or O-line help. Would rather not draft a D lineman like every mock has the Colts doing.

Worst year ever to have the top pick in the draft. The best players are positions that the Chiefs aren't as bad at, and the QB's are not very good. I hope they can find a way to trade back, but I'm sure they'll draft Geno Smith.

After doing some reading/watching video of Arthur Brown he is the guy I want. I'm sure his name is going to be brought up a lot come the combine in two weeks. The guy lacks some size, but he makes up for it in speed, instincts and leadership I think a fair comparison for him could be Daryl Washington. Also, I think he is the most complete and talented LB in this draft class.

Most Saints fans are looking for someone to pressure the QB. Some are speculating that Anthony Spencer could follow Ryan from Dallas, The LSU honks want Barkevious Mingo (I'd prefer Sam Montgomery). NFL.com has them taking DE Bjoern Werner from FSU.

With everyone thinking defense, Payton & Loomis will probably pick a RB.

Apparently the NFL is considering widening the field for safety reasons.

Spent 5 days in Vegas. Without exception, whenever ANYONE asked where i was from and i said Alberta, the only thing they asked was either:

A) do you watch the CFL? Is this coach going to save the Bears?

Or

B) what is this Trestman guy all about?
