You can enjoy the Sun for entertainment purposes, go right ahead. But if you're using it as your go to news source, that's not a good thing.

I would be as bold as saying that in terms of print media and in terms of television media there's not a lot of credible sources of information due to political slant.

As an individual I try to use as many sources as I can to corroborate major stories. Doing anything less then that leaves you exposed.

I find it equally embarrassing that our SITTING PM 'entertains' us with his second rate Beatles covers and drives ATVs around runways shouting "I make the rules". Totally unbecoming.

That's the best you could come up with?
Nothing better than the guy likes to play the piano and likes to ride atv's?

You're scraping the bottom of the barrel there, Ed, if those are the best examples of why Harper is an embarrassment.

Come on... give it to me.... I know you can do better.

What is with this "the world is not flat" talk from Daradon? Where did this come from?

If we're not counting policy like being completely antiscience then no I don't have much on him because he's basically a robot. Attempts to make him look human like wearing a sweater vest or cuddling with kittens are some of his most embarrassing moments. But I mostly feel that way because I have an existing visceral dislike for him because of his policies and what he stands for. I pick up on the kitten and piano moments as being consistent with my feelings for him even though they're a very small part of what he does. Unfair, yes, but it goes with the territory.

My guess is it's the same with you and Justin, you don't like or agree with him for a whole variety of reasons and the boxing match thing is consistent with your views. Would you really not vote for Stephen Harper if he took his shirt off for a charity boxing match?

Harper should wear his cowboy hat and leather vest again, at least he'd get some laughs!

It doesn't matter what anyone comes up with... you like Harper and you don't like Trudeau and anything one guy does will be good and anything the other guy does will be bad. It's obvious.

An innocuous thing like a charity boxing match is enough to get you to start in with the "lack of judgement" talking points. It's something only people who already hate him think makes him look bad. They best think of something else soon, because this desperate hand-waving isn't working.

Should a newspaper be defined as a "serious" news source, by it's editorial point of view or the columnists that it employees, or because it doesn't print a pic of a pretty girl each day? Does the Sun not report the facts of the news just as well as the Calgary Herald?

I think 70% is probably a little high, this election was really effective at splitting the voter base, but its to the PQ's advantage if Voter turnout is low.

The reason why I kept bumping this, isn't that its some crucial election in terms of the nations future, but because this was nearly as fascinating as the destruction of the Wildrose hopes in the last Alberta election.

The Quebec election is a primer lesson for incumbent parties that the best strategy is to basically muzzle your leader, don't be too innovative and let your opponents over reach.

The PQ also did the unnecessary by bringing in a star candidate with his own message and not controlling him til its too late.

I would expect that sober thought today will certainly change the election result, my guess is that we see a strong minority Liberal government, but I didn't see much in terms of the PQ being able to do anything that would resonate with the voters at the 11th hour.

I would expect that the next major election besides the Toronto Municipal which is a big steaming bowl of who gives a crap, would be in Ontario as my guess is that the opposition is waiting for the OPP investigation into the gas plant emails to be finalized then they'll effective pull the pin on the Liberals there.

So maybe a fall election.

Election has been called, Liberals will win, not confirmed as a minority or majority

Marois is losing in her own riding! Philippe ran in a PQ stronghold, and the results are looking as if it were a Liberal stronghold. Crazy collapse of the PQ.

Confirmed now. Liberal Majority.

I wonder if that's ever happened. Sitting minority calls an early election and gets wiped out (in less than hour)

^ The Globe has the Liberals winning or leading in 66 seats, 63 is needed for a majority so I don't think it's been confirmed that it's a minority.
