An indication of who carries the mail on the line shows up all the time in the three stars selections. Bartschi had first star with 1g,3a and Rattie had 2nd star with 2g,2a.
Generally first star would go to the player who pots more goals, but Bartschi was just that dominant.

I am really looking forward to seeing the highlights this time around. I missed the game, but heard Gaudreau scored an absolutely dazzling goal!

Ferland with a goal and an assist tonight in a 4-3 loss. Brossoit stopped 26 of 29 shots in the win.
Portland and Kamloops still scoreless late in the 2nd period.

Sounds like Portland is getting a ton of chances. Lanigan is just a beast though.

Alarming to see that Cheveldave didn't dress for this game, wonder what happened to him.
Lanigan will always let in a goal at the worst possible time.

Agreed, weird to see him out.
Didn't Lanigan get invited to Flames training camp a couple seasons back? Glad we drafted Brossoit over Lanigan though.

I remember Steinberg tweeting that Gaudreau has the most skill out of all the Flames prospects (including Baertschi)... now that's scary.

Lanigan's career is going in the wrong direction. He's been hot and cold (mostly cold) all year long, lost the starting job early on in September and hasn't been super when called upon...the team also seems to not play as well in front of him as he can play well but let in a goal at a bad time. As a junior you need to improve every year to have a chance to move to the next level...Lanigan hasn't done that.
Brossoit is lucky to be playing behind the team and D that he does (Mark Pysyk, Keegan Lowe, etc.). That being said he is making the saves when he needs to and appears to be getting better and more confident as time goes on which is what you want to see.
This is Cheveldave's rookie season - what he's managed to accomplish after playing in the AJHL (Drumheller) last year is amazing. He could get a look by a NHL team as his development curve is incredible. He had a great month of January or February and hasn't been as sharp since, but it is a long season and tough to be consistent. When he is on, he has some of the best rebound control seen in the WHL.
Would love to see the Flames draft Cheveldave or at least give him a look if he goes undrafted. Local boy too.

Oliver Gabriel ran over Cole Cheveldave last night and in the process got hurt.
Isn't Cherrio friends with Cole Cheveldave?

Is anyone listening to this Portland game? Sounds like it's getting really really dirty. Hits from behind, cross checks to the head, fights, scrums, tackles. Wow. Nothing like WHL playoff hockey.
