I can't stress enough what a fantastic coach Bill Self is. KU has no business being where they are. There's no depth on this team and I would rank it as probably the worst team that Self has had at Kansas, talent wise.

That said, they play a mentally tough game and play as a team.

I think Self is a fantastic coach, and KU really is better off after the painful departure of the beloved Roy Williams.

Rock Chalk.

Here's to keeping Coach Cal at 0fer.

Does Kansas get awarded the title when Kentucky is stripped of it for recruiting violations in 5 years? Or does it just say vacated?

I'd say he's the most underappreciated elite coach in the country. If Purdue holds on in the round of 32 then we are hearing about should Self be fired or not. Not sure how many other National Championship and 8 time consecutive league winning coaches have that kind of criticism.

If Kentucky wins, I win both my brackets. If Kansas wins, Kentucky loses. Decisions Decisions...

People are nuts in Kansas City today. I was at the Big 12 NCAA tournament, and this is a portion of our downtown called 'Power and Light' about 5 hours before the game started (taken with my phone so not the greatest shot, but you get the idea)

This was just the KU fans- the MU fans were nuts as well. Anyway, last night the entire city was like this..no rioting, but everyone in the streets going crazy. The rivalry between MU and KU (which will no longer be a part of our yearly tradition because MU is going to SEC), is just like Flames and Oilers but is goes back 200 years. This is a REALLY fun time of year and an absolute blast to be a part of. Lawrence, KS, is about 45 minutes/miles from where I live and last night the entire population was outside. It's 90 degrees here and sunny, and the anticipation for tomorrow night is crazy. Bill Self is NCAA Coach of the Year, and KS really has a lot to be proud of- I always include the fact that James Naismith, the founder of basketball, actually was Canadian! Rock Chalk!! Go KU!!

Kentucky wins the championship after a 67-59 win.

Easily the best team all year and wasn't a shocker they blew through the tournament.

Davis and Gilchrist should go 1-2 in the NBA draft and Terrence Jones, Doron Lamb, and Marquis Teague all are expected to go in the 1st round as well. It was almost unfair how good they were.

Credit to Kansas on fighting in the 2nd half. Going down 41-23 was too much though.

That was a really good game to watch. Kentucky is one heck of a team.
