Imagine if you were not picked, Dobbles. You took a hiatus, and still got in. I have been with you guys for four solid years, and it has been a blast. I'm greatly dismayed it can't continue.
I'm now at over a point a game. Obviously, I'm better than I used to be, and I play when my schedule allows. Isn't that sufficient? CMPunk and I are on the outside looking in, and that is rather bothersome IMO.

Well I can't say anything more except if you want to play with the club, tryout and prove to us you should be on it.

if i was not picked, i would just find another team, play otp, or concentrate on hut/gm mode. its not really that big of a deal. i went 10 months without playing with the fatas and about 8 or 9 months not playing nhl. somehow life went on.
the team changed. its no different than when new people come along or old people leave. i would love to have chucks skill back. i would love for russic to come back and banter with me as we give up 10 goals a game. but times have changed.
and what you still apparently aren't grasping is that lots of people were unhappy with the way it was for the last 4 years. so we are trying something new. it might work, it might not. but you can still drop in and play as much as you want with the new team you made. there is just as good of chance that it succeeds as the fatas did. all it takes is a thread on cp and some dedicated gamers. you already have a lot of people that know each other like stalker, spike, you, flash, etc... and now you can even treat it as you want to and invite friends and family. it anything it will open it up to new opportunities that weren't possible because we always stuck to the limitations of only established cp members.

what a ####storm lol.....i'm pretty sure as the season dwindles down the number of active players will dwindle down as well, not to mention everybody will get better with experience so the chances of you getting the "callup" can only get better......or just practice goalie like crazy

Just being honest and not inviting us to begin with would have been the best way to do it instead of giving people false hope. Ya it's just a game, but playing EASHL is pretty much the only reason I buy the game every year.
Thankfully there's lots of games coming out in the next few months to distract me.

I can tell you as someone who isn't inside the inner workings of the Fata's management (so I don't speak for the team), but the team leadership has been incredibly resistant to the idea of doing cuts, and I've been bringing it up for years now. Even during this summer I once again re-awakened my quest to have two fata's teams, one for frequent team players and one for casual gamers. Even then, they resisted.
Arguably, had they taken a more direct course from the beginning, there wouldn't be as many hurt feelings, but you've also got look at your own play. It's not a personal thing.

It's tough for guys like Kip and I who have been around since the start. I think we're the only two long term guys who aren't on the team and still play fairly regularly. It sucks that after being with the team this long we're suddenly not good enough
|
I too was on the original team, and while I didn't really think I should have to tryout (not because of seniority, but because I have history with my teammates) , I did it anyway because it's not a big deal, and by playing a solid team first game, it wasn't an issue to make the team. I don't have a bunch of boost slots of maxed out stats or legend cards.
I can tell you though, it sucked not being able to play for the fatas last year and the year before because I didn't want to deal with my defensive partner making me look like a dummy most of the time. It's not winning that is the be all end all, it's having fun. One player having fun at the expense of the other isn't a sustainable game scenario, and I think this is the eventual culmination of that.

One thing in your game that we'll like to see improve from you in is your cycle and play making ability in the offensive zone. While you cut down on shooting, we want to see progression in offensive awareness so you make better decision in picking the best option in knowing when you should pass to continue the cycle, maneuver with the puck, take the shot (wrister or slap shot), or dump the puck into the corner.

Look at the quote above. Again, this isn't personal, but I think you are extremely resistant to criticism, constructive and otherwise.

I would also eventually like to try out. Maybe after I get a few more levels up and can keep up. I feel as a winger I can be an effective contributor to an offense, I will give up trying to be a defenseman. I also have been playing a lot of drop-in goalie and would try out for a spot there once I get a few more cards.

i posted this in the general nhl thread, but wanted to put it here as well:
if you use offline BAP to unlock boosts for eashl, you have to get sent to the ahl for them to take properly.
earn the boosts as normal (play only 3rd period, play on maxed sliders) and earn the ones you need such as 40 games played, 2 goals a game etc. then when the season ends nothing will happen. sim to the next season. then sim all the way through the next season. becaise of simming, you get demoted. thats a good thing. you have to finish the season in the ahl and then things will unlock that you earned the previous year. its not 100% but it worked for me after trying tons of other things. just remember to make lots of saces along the way in case you need to go back and correct something.

no. i have been having some pretty nasty lag problems lately so everytime i disconnect, they start giving me crap!
its killing my grades, but i figure its best for the team that they not had a LD that is lagging behind the play and causing goals against. i do enough of that on my own. having my connection working against me makes it too much.

Congrats to the Fata's who tonite knocked off the #1 overall team in elite. They had the 2nd, 6th and 9th overall players in EASHL.
Also congrats to all the players who have helped us bring our record to 56-17
