So how many stars does everyone have for Spec Ops? Me and my friend are at 43/69 right now. Alpha and Bravo complete, Charlie we need to beat Homeland and Snatch and Grab. Oh and Echo is impossible.

I put my pre-order at the EB Games in Calgary... but I'm stuck in Edmonton for the next month and a half. Is there anyway to get them to ship it or let me pick it up at another EB games?

From their site:
http://www.ebgames.com/gs/help/Pre-orders.aspx

Quote:
Delivery
Orders containing both pre-orders and in-stock merchandise will be broken into separate shipping groups. Each group will be shipped as soon as the merchandise becomes available. Handling charges will apply to each shipping group independently.

In an effort to ship pre-orders as quickly as possible, sometimes we use external resources to “drop ship” merchandise to you directly from the source. This eliminates the time it takes to ship product to our warehouse before shipping it to you. Due to the tight time constraints, some orders will not make it into our drop ship process. Those orders are shipped directly from our warehouse, usually on the following business day.

Some of the order types that will typically miss our drop ship process are:
  • Pre-orders received by us too close to the release date. Cut-off dates are normally three or four days in advance of the ship date.
  • Postal orders like, P.O. Box, APO/FPO and Value Shipping.
  • Pre-orders that fail our credit authorization process.

Don't think they do that. If you paid for it in full your out of luck till you get back in Calgary. You can try speaking to a manager, but i doubt anything will happen.

I finished the campaign on veteran, and I really liked it. It wasn't impossible like COD 5, it was hard but still doable, plus you had fun and didn't die every 30 seconds.

I picked this up yesterday, and God I suck at it. I routinely get my ass handed to me on LIVE.

For anyone who is wondering, the 3rd person aspect of the game is awesome. I love playing 3rd person team tactical matches online, sooo much fun.

I prefer FPS than 3rd person, but it is pretty fun to get away from 1st person once and a while.

Really dont like the "migrating session" message I get at least twice a day. Sub base is probably my favorite map. Favela is easily the worst IMO.

Game Trailers' Invisible Wall Show - Episode 83

It's a bit long, but it's their longer review of MW2 and they cover the campaign, Special Ops, and Multiplayer separately
A good view for anyone that wants to learn more about the game but haven't bought it yet.
One particular thought that I thought was good discussion was regarding the airport level. I don't want to spoil the game for anyone (the video will show what happens, so I guess spoiler alert). Basically, they were saying that the level didn't need to be there, and that a cut scene would have been enough. All it accomplishes is to piss off Fox news and the other conservatives figure heads that have been speaking on video game violence

On the flip side of the Airport argument, if movies/TV can depict something similar to the airport scene, why not video games? If video games are to be considered as mainstream entertainment/art like TV and movies, they need to take risks and push boundaries. Although the story in MW2 is pretty weak, I would consider a game like Bioshock to be a much better narrative then a lot of traditional media.
