I wish they would release a few more renderings of that project so we could get a better idea of the details.

Beside myself with joy, or with anger?

Hopefully it's the biggest skyscraper ever! In history! With a 20,000 seat NHL rink at the base and a 50,000 seat MLS/CFL stadium on the roof!
That would put me beside myself.

I know some vague details about the project Druh is hinting at, but she has obviously now seen renders of it. Can't wait to see it.

If this is the same amazing tower druh was tweeting about back in February, my guess is its the northwest corner of centre and 7th (currently art central). I'm basing this on the fact that when she first tweeted about it was the same couple days the brass of Allied Properties was in town to discuss a complete redevelopment of that site. They're moving into doing more tower developments in Toronto (QRC West, or the planned and cancelled Globe & Mail headquarters, which looks to be very nice, though not the OMFG! expectations Druh is setting up here.)

On another note, SSP has some very interesting rumours that haven't been brought over here, but I won't share them as I'd need an Excel file to keep track of all of them.

That site wouldn't be big enough for a very big building would it? I think the Hanover building is directly North of it, and there is another large building to the west, iirc. So how big could they go just replacing Art Central?

This is all so exciting. I hope the new building is shaped like Druh's horrible hair cut.

Hmm, but I like Art Central. It has those two pigeons in it and the weird 80s staircase quality to it.

There's a low building immediately to the west of it, the one that has a little rooftop garden and playground and stairs to the C-Train platform, and then a maybe 8 story building west of that, and then the 17 story Len Werry building on the southeast corner of the block. I don't think you could build a really tall tower on the site, but it would be a great location for a smaller, really nice tower. They also own a lot of property on the north (6th street) side of that block, and could do something that builds on top of those historic buildings. I'm thinking about something like their QRC West development in Toronto, which sort of builds over and around existing structures.
This is total, 100% speculation on my part.

If Trump Toronto is any indication, you can build a very tall, thin building if you really want.

I hope it's an anti-orbital Ion Cannon like they had on Hoth. If not, I'll be disappointed.

Hopefully, it isn't also ugly, like Trump Toronto is.
